So far this has been a really fantastic Silent Hill clone. I was worried about the troon character, but thankfully it was a tiny interaction. It did make my skin crawl having to listen to his voice-acting, though.Still quite the proficient Lynchian survival horror. Great non-linear environmental design. And pretty excellent combat for a side-scroller survival horror. The creative inspiration is a strong combination of SH1&2, Lynch's Lost Highway and Twin Peaks. I like it better than Signalis but less than Crow Country. What did you think, /v/?

It was alright. Decent pastiche of, mostly, Silent Hill and Alan Wake. Like most things trying to do Lynch, it was off by a country mile and especially the ending (Oh, he was actually drowning and this was his dying dream, you see!) kinda ruined ir for me. Like, Lynch would never just make that sort of thing explicit.I dunno, man, feels distinctly like it was made by the sort of person who got into Lynch via Silent Hill and reads his work as psychological horror. Moreso, super literal psychological horror, like a lot of the SH series. I never really did that, I read it mostly as urban fantasy. There are actual metaphysics there. The surreal supernatural elements in Lynch's work don't just exist to reflect people back at themselves.
