The writing for the conflict between Talia, Avida, and the Kang Tao guy is sort of odd. It's very strange to me that the jazz opera singer mother is fine with just making a copy of her kid and slapping it in a new body, where as the more detached, cerebral corpo dude who cares about his kid as an investment and status symbol is just sort of blasé about it.It would have made more sense to me of things were reveresed and Avida thought her husband was acting detached and uncaring about their kid dying only for it to turn out he had it planned to bodyswap Talia, which would have horrified Talia and Avida. It would have also made sense why he's cool killing Avida when she steps out of line if it turned out he had a copy of her brain somewhere. Further alienating Talia

As it is there is no reason not to take Tech because the benefits from maxing out your cyberware in a way that synergizes with the way you want to play is often more meaningful than investing in the attribute that is nominally supposed to be catering to a playstyle, outside of a handful of keystone perks, which could be translated into Cyberware easily.

For a full playthrough I generally find that I enjoy a focus on Int and Cool to be a bit more grounded and fun, but I actually wish Int was a bit weaker in combat and more focused on the utility because even if you get caught you can easily tear through stuff with your brain.Tetratronic Rippler is also very busted as a Cyberdeck option and it's very stupid that the Iconic Cyberdecks don't have Overdrive abilities like the baseline ones, particularly since they're not even strong enough at a baseline to really outshine the other Cyberdecks performance wise.

So i beat the game back in 2021 and never got around to the DLC.How does it work, is it a seperate thing I can just dive in to or part of the base game somehow?
Edgerunners is good because of Trigger's vision. These characters would work in any game's world. Trigger actually had to fight against CDPR's creative input during production. I wouldn't recommend playing Cyberpunk just because you like Edgerunners.
