Finally, some good news for recomp projects. You're going back to code mines, monkey!
>interesting timingIt was always going to happen, not everything is a conspiracy theory.
>>750256303>theory
>>750256245Pretty sure it wasn't even a secret that both Samsung and LG are spy devices that work 24/7 even when turned off.
>the one good usecase for AITime to cancel the subscription and wait for china to release a model that does it
Ok, they don't want my money then
>>750256245Give it a little time and a work around will be figured out. The genie is already out of the bottle, it can't be put back in now. At most they can delay the inevitable.
>>750256245its ironic, they claim to create ultimate new tech, but by the time they get there it will be so crippled by "limiters" it will be useless for anything
>>750256752Identifying the scope of everything what they are doing could be held against them in the court. People know that they are spying but the real extent of their actions are unknown.
>>750256752It was a speculative secret until LG's got completely revealed. People didn't really have concrete proof of their competitor's doing it despite everyone knowing every company has to be doing it in some way now. Samsung was next up but it probably would have taken even longer if AI didn't make it so easy. Somehow nothing has come of this yet.
>>750256860Almost like that's the whole pointSurely no one would set up stooges in the company that has the [current thing] as its main business that would disrupt [[[old thing that makes a lot of money]]]
Whelp, that's about all these LLMs were good for. Can we have our GPUs and storage back now?
>>750256839I don't get why they expect anyone will be willing to pay for AI if they're going to make it shit anyway.
>>750256985No!
>>750257035It still has significant use for software development. The public models will get gimped but the corporate models won't, and they will be protected until licensed use. At least until some pajeet goes and does something dodgy enough to get those neutered as well. Even then it will still probably see significant use in the software development sector due to how much busy work it can cut out from a standard development process. This also assumes that the Chinese won't just make some model that doesn't give a fuck about any of this so long a it doesn't hurt the CCP which every business will switch to if it is cheaper and/or has better functionality.
>>750257179>The public models will get gimped but the corporate models won'tThat's not going to get them the 2 billion customers paying 20 bucks a month like they're counting on.
Damn that sucks, mods were just starting to get somewhere. Well guess that means we get the old prices back hahaha... haha..... haa........... r-right?
>>750256245A minor delay, at best. Other models will be made which do it far better. Progress does not go backward.
>>750257219
>>750257219This doesn't affect mods at all.
>>750257245>Progress does not go backward.Romans would like to get a word.
>>750257249I didn't say it did
This is just straight up false and twitter bait. You can still decomp and recomp
>>750256985Your current GPU is more than enough.
>>750256752so dont connect your tv to the internet?
>>750257245Progress is not a stair. It's more like a drunk walk.
>>750257035Remember when the very first ASIC bitcoin miners came out?Shipment was delayed by months, even years, because it was more profitable to take the money from the "investors" and then mine bitcoins with them before actually shipping them out.Anthropic and OpenAI want to just barely make enough revenue to get access to infinite loans, while keeping the best model they have for internal use only. You're not the customer, you're the collateral.
>>750256245It was coming sooner or later. Local status?>>750257249It does if you're pulling them out of Claude's butthole. You can consider these projects stalled until the authors find alternatives.
>>750256860>he wants jeets to steal his bank information and social I. D
>>750257303Internet cable is how I get shit on my TV, no classic antenna for me.
>>750256245>Md Ismail SoijalClaude, give me a real, human name.
>>750257298i boughted ayyMD D;
>>750257339What type of projects? General AI mod development is not affected by this whatsoever.
>>750256245Thank fucking god
>>750257209To what extent the do it largely depends on legal legislation. They won't do it unless they are legally forced to. Some probably will simply to coast along under the radar but then it just becomes a cat and mouse game of figuring out silent work around and who local saved models they can use on rented processing power. Sure they shit probably won't be widely available in the sense that just anyone can access it, but the various autists for whom this is a passion will figure out how to get around it and do what they want. Regardless jailbroken versions have already been produced so it isn't like manufacturers can force the sort of software updates to reinstate this bullshit if someone already figured out a stable fix that non-normie people are happy with.
you retards this was some shitty github gay stuff that you could give to claude. You can still do all of reverse engineering and im doing it currently to some games right now
>>750257386Ports and decomps I'm thinking though I could be wrong. Big Copyright would be very interested in suppressing these.
>>750256245So will the coders who complained about AI taking their jerbs step up and finish them now?
>>750256860>>750256771That's precisely why ai is bad. You are outsourcing all of your knowledge and skillset to a cloud service that can be made more restrictive and expensive at any time, but when you point out this reality to AI shills they ridicule you instead. This same shit happened woty character.ai.As a result of this ai crap, it shat up hobbyist spaces and gave more power to corpos instead. They can shut down the service at any point unless if you are wealthy enough.
>twitter NEWSThis shit has never not been the case. REA has randomly tripped up Opus' safeguards since day one. Anthropic models in general have been incessantly moralizing and filtered for months. As always, its a crapshoot. Sometimes the model just doesn't care, sometimes your prompt slips by and claude 'gets to work' and it doesn't trip. sometimes it just immediately refuses. This is a non story and doesn't affect recomps or decomps at all. Next model will come out, they'll lighten the reins a bit to get people hooked again and get their free marketing from all the CLUD MADE ME A GAME IN 2 MICROSECONDS social media posts, then articles about how mean it is to corpos, then they'll tighten it again, and ad nauseum.stop falling for marketing. the tech is great but this shit is exhausting. use your brains
>>750256245So Corpos can steal from us but we cant steal from them?
>>750257209The 2 billion consumers are the ones making the whole thing financially unviable.
>>750257695It's not even the model itself, it's the guardrails around it. The model has some internal refusal mechanisms, but they can't retrain a model whenever there's some bad press around, they probably just use a really small model that sits between you and the big one to filter any wrongthink from both sides.Which is why the chinese ones seem to allow more shit. There's no external guard rails, only internal refusal. They're pretty much the same model.
>>750257784Steal? Bitch, you don't own anything. Be grateful big fishes let you have access to some goods.
>>750257609>You are outsourcing all of your knowledge and skillsetWe are talking here about stuff that 99% of human developers can't do. There are very few people on the planet who can actually reverse engineer a smart TVs os and pull out all the spyware without bricking a couple of tvs in the process.
>>750256245lollmao
>>750256860They just don't want the plebs to have access. If you think this shit is limited behind closed doors, you're an idiot
Sooner or later it is going to come down to personal favours and who actually pays taxes to the government if they aren't already reporting to the government. The AI companies don't actually give two fucks. They will only move when it is in their interest or they are legally required to do so. Eventually the divide will be found between whether you are a company they consider worth protecting or not. Even when it results in corporate product based on these decomps the overall question will still be up in the air until they are forced to act on it unless it fucks over their own product.
too latethe Chinese LLMs already copied claude's code and implemented the feature
>twitter screenshot of a reddit screenshothow low this board has fallen
>>750257361
>>750257609No, this is why AI cloud models are bad. With local models you won't have as much of an issue. The issue with local models is that most people don't have the hardware to run them and to my knowledge, there's nothing that runs locally on the level of claude just yet.
>people though they wont nuke these modelsI know that le decomp recomp fags are mostly pirate browns but really? If anything im suprised it took this long but I believe it was left to show Claudes function to corpos who will be getting this internally as a paid service type of deal.
>>750257245one day troonuyx will be the most used os amirite
>>750256245Just use a coding jailbreak.
>>750256245great, now we have to wait a year for local models to catch up.
>>750257609>This same shit happened woty character.aiLegitimately, what the fuck does character.ai have to do with this?
>>750258345In theory there is nothing that should prevent these models from running locally without limiters so long as the source for the model is available, they will just be significantly slower. But time is the one thing the end user had in droves. At most they can prevent access to certain pre-compiled databases of info but even then that can be replicated or side stepped to some degree as time goes on.
Local AI solved this already
We all knew that was coming, but instead of recomping dead games that are hard to emulate, these faggots wasted time recomping random shit that calculator can emulate.
>>750256245Don't need clod to tell you that after the LG debacle and their response basically being "well we're all doing it"
>>750258849>hard to emulateYeah, there's a reason they didn't do those
GO GO GO bros....
>>750257353Connect your pc to it you tard
>we all knew this was coming Funny how this cope was never brought up in the hundreds of spammed ai is da footure guise threads in the past few months until now.
>>750256245lame ass...
>>750258989It was brought up nonstop, you're just blind/retardedAlso this by no means there'll be no more decomping by AI, eventually local, or China will catch up
>>750257430it just blocks access to a readymade repo full of tools for cracking anythingclaude can still make tools of its own by doing actual reverse engineering, it doesnt stop anyone from making mods, it just refuses to use stuff from a particular repo.nothing stopping you from cloning the repo and continuing to use it.
>>750259017Dawg the compute for decomps is nuts. Unless you've got a server rack of 6000s and consider that local then it ain't happening
OpenAI chads keep winning.
>>750257303I tried but it didn't work :c
>>750259017>It was brought up nonstop, you're just blind/retardedwhy you always lyin lil pup?
>>750259017>it was brought up all the time Post 10 examples.
>Amerigroids are purposely gimping their AI nowWell... well... well....Looks like BASED CHINA might have a chance after all...
>>750256245Until i see proof that it's blocking game recomps i don't trust random people off twitter
>>750259601>now
>>750257303>so dont connect your tv to the internet?they still record audio using their speakers and store information in a payload ready to deliver as soon as it connects to any network and it WILL try repeatedly, forever
