NOT A RECOMP

But a modified Metal Gear Arcade (which was a Windows game), but it's still in beta, you have to change settings in savemgo.ini

120 fps support, much lower requirements than RPCS3 and much more consistent performance (essentially it's a 2008 game)

Compatible with PS3 games, but mouse has separate dedicated lobbies

Actually no, you can change settings in game

Only luddites worry about giving up access to their PC to random AI
>>
I never got the love for Metal Gear Online, it had like a million pointless mechanics but it all boiled down to people headshotting and spamming the box to avoid said headshots. Also the online store being accessed through the browser was just awful. I played it maybe like four times and then never again
>>
Team death match is the most boring gamemode ever made
>>
>>750260452
Is time to go back in M.M. and camp in the house
>>
Also MGO2 now has bots support
>>
>>750260590
You never had to run in circles and spam the box to rape a lobby. The game had many techs that was used commonly. I doubt there's much fun to be had in mgo2pc though, these dudes have been spamming it for years and will probably shit on everyone new/returning.

>>750260452
Man I remember back then there were clan communities on this game. It was so kino.

Box doesn't really help much outside of close quarter combat. It's a way to juke your opponents a little bit and especially to get in crouching position instantly for CQC but overall it's not all that relevant for shooting contests.

If you're using a website or an online game running then you're obviously showing your IP, that's a basic prerequisite. No RCEs though, this is retarded. You can play the game on RPCS3 which has no RCE exploits as far as I know
>>
I always hated Konami for removing this from their legacy, moreso then for firing kojima and canceling SHs and shutting down PT

But it was a blessing in disguise that Konami saw itself like their farts smelled of flowers during the PS3 days, that they put themselves above PSN, so you needed to make double accounts to play PS3's online AND to play MGO2.
I assume this is how the game survived; it didn't need sony's online infrastructure; it was basically CS1 with peer network determining the quality of the matches. Or maybe they had a bunch of central servers for events, or to keep up with who earned which fashion item

I've always been impressed by the autism powerlevel of people that kept this alive. Getting it running on ofw PS3s with an USB stick or whatever was some cool shit.
On a scale from 1-10 how hard will I get raped by people that never stopped playing if I hop on now?
>>
so is it running a custom server or the tranny iron fist savemgo slop?
>>
>>750265623
It's a good thing that people use RPCS3 for multiplayer games and are protected against any possible exploits.
>>
When Claude can find exploits on code used by billions every single day I just can't justify risking my main PC on ported online games.
>>
>>750267573
>tranny
Lol, trannies are the ones complaining it's "run by chuds" btw. Admins are incredibly chill and only ban actual cheaters.

>>750267510
It's not that hard, just don't play "mix" modes (base and capture and shit) because those are the shooting heavy ones. You'll need to get the hang of aiming but it doesn't require insane reflexes like CS2 or something. Also there are a decent amount of newer players (lvl 13 or less), the ones that will push your shit are the lvl 16+

You can try to revise history but I'm not so forgetful, thanks.
Glad you admitted it's them though, hope everyone keeps their webcams and mics secure and unplugged when not in use.

You can still play it with the RPCS3 version if you're scared. The PC port is still buggy.

Kek, absolute lunacy. Smells like someone who got banned and is still salty about it. 1200 hours in on 2 different PCs btw.

>>750268024
Yeah it's crossplay. Native is still a beta since the guy just rebuilt the game from scratch.

You can see the game list at https://mgo2pc.com/games if you don't want to bother running the game without knowing if there's a good room on.

Currently 172 online >>750268131

Depends on the time of day. Week day usually gets 80-100 concurrent players at night and weekend gets a bit more.
>>
>>750260590
The majority of people never cared about playing at higher levels because it becomes cancerous. While I haven't played in forever, SaveMGO always had far more players on the casual side, with the hardcore segregating into scrims, and I doubt that's changed. Nobody's even box dancing or lasering people in this dude's webms, and he's not even using an M4 himself.

You wont be Snake too often anyway, you should take your time as Snake and make use of the fact you have 5 lives if you don't get killed by the same team 3 times. Still high pressure

>>750269926
It's that nice mix of stylized and realistic. I also like the 6th gen graphics in a different style.
