Demon's souls was a very mediocre game honestly. Looking back, Fromsoft struck it very lucky with Dark Souls prepare to die edition. That's what really gave them momentum. Sadly since then their games have been a let down one after the other.

Why doesn't it seem to have the same affect for OoT for me? Maybe if Demon's Souls was a PS1 at the time, but being a PS3 game it was already was highly detailed to show how something is designed. OoT seems to add more detail than change for a game that isn't 1:1. Demon's Souls is a 1:1 game, while its designs are not.

The entire point was to overwrite the original, graffiti basically. Sony's shameful handling of DeS and Souls blowing up into a megafranchise was completely intolerable to those petty higher ups so they lifted their leg and pissed all over it.
