i actually like modern FF games. Most of them aren't "good" games but they are fun experiences. Nobody else in Japan is producing big budget AAA jrpgs. 7Rebith was genuinely a good game too despite everybody constantly bitching about it. Well, found out exactly why Arms Akimbo is a thing and costs so damned much MP. You can use it, then use the other double action skills for your two actions. This gets even crazier with one of Bartz's equippable passives, Double Spellblade. I butchered the fuck out of the boss I tested the setup on since I was shitting out 8 attacks per round. Luckily, one of Bartz's innate passives halves the cost for Spellblade attacks. I'm pretty sure that combo, along with Lid's "give an enemy a random weakness" skill she gets and some pre buffing/debuffing, is gonna be my go to strategy unless the enemy is immune to physical attacks.

Give everyone the skill from the White Mage that allows you to pass your turn, you'll need it. Akimbo and Dualcast are also needed as well for things like double Curagas and keeping buffs up. You ideally never want him taking an action after all your party members have had theirs as he's got some nasty tricks that can lay you out if he happens to get the last action of a turn followed by the first action of the following turn. This is the big reason you want Pass the Torch, so you can immediately give a turn to your healer to top everyone up. I learned that the hard way when I thought I had him down and he used Heartless Angel after everyone else had acted and had the first action on the next turn.
