What’s with vitiligo in western games? Why did it become so common when you almost never see it in real life? Who is demanding this? Why would you want to look like that in-game if you already have to look like it in real life?
>>
>>750279628
It was trendy from 2020-2024 I think because there was a popular female model that had it
>>
>>750279628
I can't be the only person who thinks vitiligo looks fuckin cool. I wouldn't play a character with it, but I also don't understand why people are so insecure about it.
>>
>>750279628
It’s the ultimate diversity shit.
>>
>>750279740
Michael Jackson had it, that's enough representation for century
>>
>>750279783
Uppity niggas like you actin like it’s sum kinda gift, but you don know what it’s like. You best thank White God everyday you ain’t neva got vitiligo or worse re-vitiligo
>>
It's a convenient body acceptance virtue signal without having to have actually physically deformed characters. And it applies to black people the most so you get the 2-for-1 special token combo.
>>

it's the easiest "disability" you can put in games just fuck up the skin colors lol
blind character? unless its some magic fantasy shit or a dude can still see daredevil style, then you're gonna have to make the whole screen black to make it "accurate"/"do justice"
deaf? same shit but mute sounds
mute? same as deaf with mute sounds but for your character only, also they're not gonna put in sign language animations just for the mute guy
missing arms/legs? unique animations for walking/using shit/wheelchairs unless its some magic/cyberpunk shit where they just get new limbs but that's not "inclusive" they have to be visibly dismembered/non-functioning like they did with DnD and the magic wheelchair

easy diversity point multiplier

I’ve never seen a person with vertigo, but I’ve seen plenty of people with acne. Why isn’t there a skin with pimples? (pun unintended)

Why didn’t Concord have a vitiligo character? Are the devs alt-right fascists or something??
>>
>>750279628
Why does this picture have antisoul fog?

Don't FPS games need to be crystal clear so you can spot enemies????
>>
Has there ever been an attractive character with vitiligo? It seems to go hand-in-hand with general ugliness in games.

Here’s how you make one: make her a big-titty cow girl. Then the vitiligo will look like natural cow pattens.
>>
>>750279883
Yeah revitiligo would suck, poor ruckus.
>>
>>750279628
>Why would you want to look like that in-game if you already have to look like it in real life?
Do people unironically think this looks bad? Why? Being short or bald is 100x worse.
>>
they get paid by a government to add this btw

>Has there ever been an attractive character with vitiligo?
Search for dark-skinned_female vitiligo latina purple_eyes on the regular site. You're welcome.
The site is down though due to the PHP vulnerability
>>
I literally some someone with vitiligo this morning.
>>
Because it's easy enough to put into the game and you get good boy points for it
>>
>>750279628
You see it more than you know. It doesn't show up as obviously on white people and black people wear makeup. Michael Jackson had it bad, and he's basically the most well-known human being in history.
>>
I have it on my chest and my feet, but not that bad, mostly shows up as a lighter splotchy bit of skin.
It's mostly just an indicator of "this game is made by faggots, avoid it," at least from what I've seen.

a long time ago a trending token was fished up from social media algorithms and a board underneath a larger board tasked with 'making games appealing to younger audiences' floated the reoccurring token along with some other dumb shit like the Killmonger cut, 'surgery' scars, pronoun selectors (bonus points if they save even more money by having everyone refer to the player as "they") and body type A/B.

It's extremely cheap to put in your game (think making a black player skin with some caucasian blotches versus lopping off a limb and having to model prosthetics and animations) and when it gets added into UE's MetaHuman toolkit it goes from being a less than 1% thing in our population to 1 out of ever 5 niggas.

tl;dr: the algorithm

would

What about rest of the day?
You metaphorically some someone without it?
>>
>>750279628
Because it's very easy to implement and it give free brownie points for the few who want it. that's it. It's not the end of the world.

Because basically everything that you would have shown off in a freakshow 200 years ago must now be applauded for existing. We went from
>this person is vile for being so hideous and I think less of them as a result
to
>we shouldn't judge others' character by their appearance
and then back around to
>this person is hideous so you have to clap whenever they get out of bed and treat them like they're better than you
In everyday life you just treat them normally and everyone gets along. This shit only happens when a corporate meeting consists of 95% white women and one guy nodding, trying his best to avoid voicing aloud his intense desire for death.

easy diversity checks from the government, it's practically free because all you need to do is fuck up a texture
