Summoning all the 3 people who played it.
What do we think of it?
I started it not long ago and I'm liking it.

Bumping your thread, I remember seeing this game during a steam next fest probably early 2025 or late 2024. Didn't this play like advance wars or do I have the wrong game in mind
>>
I completed it not long ago actually. Honestly, I wish I played on easy because in the last quarter of the game, the game got hard enough that using Scarlet's signature move felt like an active hinderance, which broke my heart.
And the final boss was a let down as well, because he just oneshots you. So you just have to throw all your autoresolve units at him until he's low enough to get one-shotted himself. Super lame.
>>
I avoid yuri games.
I've learned that yuri and quality are mutually exclusive, no matter the medium. But I do like a few manga oneshots and manga series.
>>
>>750279837
The game's very forgiving though

I used to and still think like you because the few VNs I've tried that heavily featured girls kissing (fatal twelve, manosaba) were just bad despite belonging to genres I usually enjoy.
Found a demo recently that challenged this notion, at least for me but that's because I like katana zero. It's called rain of lead

I recently played Samurai Maiden (got it through a HB bundle) which not only reinforced the notion but reminded me how even a deeply flawed, regressive game like Nioh 3 is still dimensions away from a bad action game.

So no, yuri and quality are mutually exclusive and whatever game you're trying to shill I bet it's pretty shit too.

I will now buy your game

It was alright. Never did the kill route though.
What are some more games with that gameplay style though?
>>
>>750279787
Maybe you're thinking of banana kingdom.

I started it and I like it but it's surprisingly difficult (which is great), I am a strategy-let but that's ok, what I'm less fan about is how many story branching there is and there's specific way to avoid killing everyone which leads to the best ending, so I end up restarting fights quite often which isn't very comfy.
>>
>>750284124
That had a decent story and cute girls/interactions, I don't regret playing it. It's better than gachashit and other trash /v/ can't stop posting about.
I did drop Nioh 3 though, because it's too fucking easy and boring. Hell, even Samurai Maiden is harder than Nioh 3 lmao
>>
>>750284778
>I did drop Nioh 3 though, because I got filtered even when the game is braindead easy
We know.
>>
>>750282953
It's forgiving, but I would lose every time I used Scarlet's ability because getting some defense up was not enough to tank 3-4 volleys a turn. It was almost always better to just use the thing with life-steal to regen all the health back.

>>750284870
The "gitgid" excuse/cope only works when your game is ACTUALLY difficult, my guy.

THIS is what you consider good? I'm not surprised someone with such abysmal taste can't enjoy actually good yuri games.

Actually looks cool, will check it out
>>
>>750285731
you don't know what you're talking about, yurishitter
>>
>>750279687
Didn't want to play it since Dragonbaby were the ones localizing it. Seems I made the right choice too, considering usage of terms such as 'unaliving'.
>>
>>750288563
There are a few terms like 'unaliving', 'stan' and 'sus' yes. It didn't bring the experience down, mostly because they're like only used once. Most of the time they use normal words. Unaliving only appeared once, and then they went back to 'killing' and 'murdering'

This different wording usually only appears in support conversations, that have a more comedic tone due to being optional.

dangerous slippery slope
don't make me post the 3DS fire emblem localization video

I think its pretty cool how the entire game is just one big stage. Kind of like how Unicorn Overlord is
>>

I still now buy the Japanese version instead

They're the same thing, just change the language to nipponese in the options.
>>
>>750288563
She said this because they were live at the time, and it was before being PC started breaking down. I'm pretty sure you could get your twitch account administrated somehow for saying no-no words or themes at the time

>heavily featured girls kissing (fatal twelve, manosaba)
Will you niggers ever stop larping?
>>

Still doesn't justify sus and stan

I really liked it. Hope for a sequel where they explore the Republic.
The difficulty was really good except near the end where some of my units were underleveled, it became hard to catch them up with the rest but I managed after awhile.

Unicorn Overlord
