Claw gripping the controller, so you can use the left thumb stick to move and the d-pad to change weapons/heal/whatever, is getting annoying.
Grip buttons exist but only for remapping other buttons.

>>750281416Overall I don't think so necessarily. At least not primary buttons. Sony kind of has it going on with the DS5. If it weren't for the stupid share and options buttons that should be a proper start and select like it has been for most of gaming history you could say that in theory it has 7 total face buttons for your thumb. Start and select of course have their important but limited options for gaming purposes but that middle clicky button on the DS serves as a great alternate button that some games make great use for. As for the screenshot/share button they could have placed it on top of the controller or some shit idk. I do like it though and have used it for some games even for gameplay purposes (solving puzzle, etc) but it should not have replaced select.Most games would only ever use the extra buttons for less pressed more trivial stuff like item selection or turning on a flashlight or whatever. I doubt you'd ever get a kino action game for example using ABC all for primary hacking and slashing combos. Also for it to work best there should be another console that is released with the controller design in mind from the start. Sega being the most obvious choice here for a comeback.
Has a shoulder stick ever been tried? Why not?
