The only reason the Pokemon world works is because it is a low population world where competition for resources is still very low.

Humans can freely spend their entire lives chasing pokemon instead of wageslaving for food and a small pod-sized apartment since the number of humans being born does not exceed the limit to where the system becomes unsustainable and certain humans even start hunting Pokémon for food.

this is world of pokemon and humans. the humans have meat in their restaurants and they don't eat pokemon.

Their technology is at the level of matter-energy conversion, their economy is close to post-scarcity. A basic pokeball costs less that a canof lemonade. Don't try to make sense of the market price of a bicycle

This is what America and Europe would be if we kicked out all of the non-Whites. All of the invaders flooding in directly strain our limited resources. If they were all gone, you'd had the freedom to do anything and a house would cost basically nothing.

>>
>>750299548
"High trust society" does not mean that no crime takes place ever, retard.
It means it's generally safe enough to allow your kids out by themselves or vending machines and stalls completely unsupervised.
What has Team Rocket actually done? Illegal selling of fossils, illegal selling of Slowpoke tails, stealing valuable pokemons. It's baby shit.

they might be criminals but they still adhere to societal rules too. you beat them in a pokemon battle and they just fuck off.
>>
>>750298310
>it is a low population world where competition for resources is still very low.

I don't know where this idea comes from. Overpopulation and resource scarcity have been touched on in multiple games. Your average person is not a Pokemon trainer, they're just working regular jobs trying to pay their bills.
>>
>>750298543
Lab grown meat.
>>
>>750300253
They don't adhere to societal rules, that's why they're criminals. Not a single villain in Pokemon has stopped just because they were beaten, it's usually because their plans went horribly wrong.

Makes sense, cars seem exceedingly rare
>>
>>750298310
Nah, the world still sucks, we just don't see it very often because our view comes from the abstracted lens of a child who only cares about his or her Pokemon journey, and aspects that are relevant to this journey.
Even as early as Gameboy era there's industrial urban shitholes, culture being torn apart in the name of corporate success, yakuza holding an iron grip on the place, etc.

I think you're supposed to assume that the region consists of more than just the places you can explore. There are roads in the town next to the players house, though they only lead down to the docks.

>>
>>>/vp/
>>
>>750300986
Yeah, it was always supposed to be taken that there's abstraction and condensing going on, even now in the 3D era.
Pallet Town as depicted ingame only has three damn buildings, one a workplace, one has a single room with no bedding that's supposed to accommodate the whole Oak family living in Pallet, and then there's Red's house, which has a bedroom for him but nothing for his mother, and everyone else walking around outside just has to eat shit if you take it literally.

Berries are the thing that makes a large part of pokemon work.
Those shits grow everywhere, are extremely nutritious, calorie dense, and some act as medicine.

Without berries both people and pokemon would be fighting over the far more limited food supply.

Also don't forget there is an active creator deity keeping an eye on things and is willing to throw "chosen ones" at any major problems that crop up.
>>
>>750301409
And that the whole universe is preordained anyway, otherwise the whole core conceit of Legends: Arceus (Arceus summons a slightly older version of Lucas/Dawn from Sinnoh to Ancient Hisui in order to make sure Ancient Hisui becomes the Sinnoh that Lucas/Dawn is born in so that they may one day be summoned to Ancient Hisui by Arceus) wouldn't quite work out in God's favor.
>>
>>750298310
resource scarcity is completely artificial profiteering kike garbage. the only time it comes up is during territorial disputes. which just reinforces my point that it's all artificial.
>>
>>750298310
Pokémon helped humanity overcome scarcity hurdles much sooner than we will.
Besides, there is a vast seedy underbelly of failed trainers, homeless, and other unsightly things the writers claim exist but can't prominently show due to having to retain Pokémon's wide appeal.
>>
>>750302514
Sometimes it leaks out though, like ORAS's Sea Mauville that replaced the abandoned ship from RSE, which is full of shitposting about how brutally unfair Japanese work culture is, including a whole subplot told through letters and excerpts where Professor Cosmo's father gets NTR'd because he's too busy being a slave to his work to actually be able to spend time with his wife.
>>
>>750298587
he never did any of that thou, his name was cleared by the leaks
>>
It's also funny just how inept the police in pokemon games is.
That one time a bunch of punks just literally took over a whole ass town and the only response was that they were put on metered electricity.

>>
>>750298310
>>750300452
The best way to look ay it is that you're seeing the world through the eyes and mind of the protagonist. He sees a bunch of kids having adventures and the adults in the background because that's pretty much what he understands. You don't get to understand Pokemon society perfectly, what you see in game is a cutout.

>>750304637
That's the impression the child character has. "The punks took over the town", while it was more like a gang messing up a small place. The towns and cities themselves aren't perfect representations of what they actually are, the protagonist focuses on a few key relevant buildings and that's what we see.

You only get to experience the pokemon world through a 10 year olds utopian imagination.

Whatever logistics that make the world make sense are not important to the 10 year old and therefore you don't get to see it. You just see what a 10 year old can interpret and enjoy the naive world view while the adults keep things functioning behind the scenes.
>>
>>750307291
i mean it makes more sense when you watch the anime. pallet town is pretty big there when it's only three buildings in the game. this is just "did you ever notice video games aren't like real life" reddit teir nonsense.
>>
Pokemon are a slave class that can grow food, construct buildings, or even produce raw material
Pretty easy to have a utopia when you have a slave workforce that you sweep under the rug by saying they like to do it and it's all about friendship
The rotom phones are leigimately fucked up where they're breeding rotoms just to create floating self-powering phones and the rotom is completely lobotomized

>>750307509
Gonna be real with you here
If adults can dedicate their entire lives towards making their world basically a theme park for their children, it actually just is a utopia.
>>
>>750308552
I mean again it depends. A lot of pokemon are dangerous regardless of how you approach them. gravelers can use explosion, and there's no logical reason why the explosion wouldn't also harm the player. it just doesn't.
>>
>>750307291
Nah, Po Town is legit a punk town now. Guzma sits in the mansion, the power was shut down, and a cop outside tells people not to go in.
>>
>>750301543
No. That's just Arceus playing fucky wucky with the timeline.
Iirc he was ready to just cut that entire bit out of the timeline and tossed a Dawn there to see if she could salvage things.
>>
>>750298310
The resources in the Pokémon world are out of the wazoo because they turn food into heat, water, electric power, more food and hell sometimes even minerals because of the mons. Pokémon Masters even makes a point about this because somebody there just straight up made a full region in the middle of the ocean using just an army of workers and their Pokémon. Nothing is scare because everything can be made fast an easy thanks to the magical animals that are everywhere and somehow produce more than they consume.
Anyhow, Dawn best buttgirl post more pearl butt.
>>
>>750299104
>our limited resources
You are an idiot. Those resources only seem limited because a handful of rich while people (the same ones importing the "invaders" en masse, by the way) control them all and refuse to share. And while you're obsessing over race and acting like everybody with the same skin tone is a monolith, they view you as more of a subhuman than you do brown people.
