I still don't get the hate Serious Sam 2 gets. It has the best visuals of them all. Especially after 3, 4 and those disgusting HD remakes. It has the best music. Level design as well. No out the ass padding, like jumping through the same areas looking for keys like the 1st and 2nd encounter. It's a legit top 3 SS game. And putting it at the number one spot isn't ridiculous at all. It's not as if there's a wealth of great SS games to choose from. You've got like 3 solid games, including this one and people like to pretend it's bad.

It released a month before the Xbox 360 came out and looked barely above 5th gen quality. The engine was great but the game was hideous even for the time.

Its not serious enough

the weapons felt weak compared to first and secodn encounters. like they dont have any oomph anymore just weak poof. That killed it for me.

also they toned down the blood and gore

no computer could handle it when it released, it required some new shader model that only the top nvidia cards could render at acceptable framerates
