DMC going back on cooldown and Itsuno leaving is unfortunate after getting such a vulgar display of power.
I'm not sure what more could be done with it, but the fact they have all the assets setup and Dante goes into the Demon world to clean house feels like the perfect setup for a true finale to be mostly combat and level design focused with little other distractions.
