According to the leaks, in the next Mass Effect, the galaxy would have been divided into three major factions in a cold war:
>Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together (representing the Terminus systems aka the galactic equivalent of the Global South)
>Council races (representing the First World/West/ZOG) forming their own alliance
>The Geth emerging as a third superpower

Leaving aside the sheer retardation of humans allying with their arch enemies the batarians, it also would have been a conscious decision by the humans, who were part of the Citadel Council, to actively ally with the shitskins races like the Krogan and Batarians.

This would be the equivalent of the US allying with Russia and China against the rest of NATO and Japan/South Korea. It is humanity, renouncing its Western heritage in favor of third world anti-colonial solidarity. We see what's happening here

Wasn't that not too far from the "kill the council" ending in ME1? Basically with the original council dead, humans took the lead and intentionally promoted races other than the Turians and Asari just to drive a wedge between the old council races and the rest of the galaxy and ensure the existing power structure would be a minority even if it did regain its footing.

The state of the industry can be measured by how big the boobs are in a AAA game and I’m not kidding
>>
The entirety of human technology can be sumarized to boiling water and throwing rocks
>>
I mean the US arguably had some third worldist tendencies during the cold war and worked to undermine european colonial holdings alongside the USSR.

Shepard literally genocided them and humans treat Shepard as a god. The battarians were also nearly wiped out into extinction during the reaper war. There is no way they would ever be a worthy ally.
Its like the USA abandoning NATO and allying with Somalia to counter a hypothetical rival Chinese superpower and EU superpower.

This, the batarians are basically the new quarians post-ME3 and offer nothing. The genophage cured krogan are slightly better due to their fecundity but still relatively poor, backward and weak. Humans are basically setting themselves up to be the USSR with the krogans as Red China, and we all know who won that cold war

I had little faith in the game itself but the three factions proposal is interesting imo. The idea that after all the dust has settled, the original Council races would try and revive their old hegemony without sharing with humans could make sense, especially considering they were never too fond of humanity's growth in power throughout the series. Geth as their own nation would be a logical conclusion as well since outside of Legion/Shepard's ties they had no alliances pre-war to begin with and given their nature and history were always going to be the odd man out.

This would also allow Batarian culture to be fleshed out more and allow for Batarian squadmates which hadn't been done yet. As much flack as Batarians get they are arguably the most similar race to humans culturally, and even anatomically in many ways. They aren't physical powerhouses or biotics or super intelligent like many of the other races, they are nationalistic, untrusting, etc, much like us. I guess they had to do something with the Krogans and figured to add them to the human/batarian faction to make it even threes against the Council.

Neat idea, probably would have been botched though.
