I just want to start out by saying that I do not expect this to have a significant impact. At least at first. I know I won’t delay GTA 6 by 6 minutes, but I MUST do everything that I can in order to know that I did the right thing. For YEARS, since the time of around Super Mario 64, Rockstar games has been infesting the video games industry with “Games” filled with cuss words and inappropriate stuff. The first game had just a few cuss words. The next ones had more and more and more swears, up until the IMDB guide for GTA V was looking like a christmas tree. There are COUNTLESS MANY games that are so much better than GTA, all without being inappropriate and riddled with plethora amounts of profanity. Want the high speed car chases? Need for speed hot pursuit. Want the fighting? Play fortnite. Want the Creativity of a sandbox world. Hmmm. HOW ABOUT minecraft? The first (and might I add best) sandbox game ever made. Now I know what you’re thinking “Hey! You can’t tell rockstar what to release! And you can’t tell me what to play!”. Actually I can. Whether or not you listen to reason and choose to side with me is where can or can’t comes into play. It is up to YOU ALONE to make the right choice.GTA 6 is going to be even worse than all the other gta games, following the reliably consistent increasement of cuss words and inappropriate content in these games. With things like violence in video games, there is almost never, or never a problem at all. The jump from video game violence to real life violence is a jump too big for 99.999999% of the population, with most people I know never having even been in any sort of altercation, so it goes without saying that I am not a part of the “video games cause violence” crowd. However, my concern is with the liberal amount of liberal profanity that plagues the Grand Theft Auto franchise. This is a much shorter jump from the GTA universe to Ours. If a cuss word makes it into a memorable quote, or funny moment, that moment will be replayed by gamers and uploaded as memes. This is already bad enough, but it gets worse. People will eventually start just saying more and more cuss words out loud in real life. People tend to quote pieces of media that they enjoy, and if this is one of them, THERE WILL BE a WHOLE lot more people saying cuss words at the release of this game. Why would rockstar try and put so many bad things in a video game? Well, it shocks people ( or at least used to). When people see something bad, it gets their attention. This has caused not just rockstar, but lots of other video game manufacturers to fill their games with the most vile, disgusting, vulture puke like, litanies of profanity which their writers dare to string together. It is the scaled - up equivalent of that one kid who used to say “bad morning” to the teacher. They just pack this game full of bad stuff in order to get peoples attention.PArt 3 below
Part 3I don’t just believe, but KNOW that the increase in cuss words in media has lead to the increase of cuss words in real life. It wasn’t long ago that if someone shouted out the F word at the top of their lungs, people considered it shocking and disrespectful (AS THEY SHOULD), but now nobody so much as bats an eye at such a show of disgusting language. Rockstar games has likely more than 100 employees. It is a giant company. There has to be at LEAST ONE person there who has a feeling in their conscience saying that they should not release this cuss-word-zip-bomb of a video game into the gaming ecosystem, which will no doubt have devastating consequences to the world. In conclusion, Rockstar Games should NOT release GTA 6, as it will cause more people to cuss in the real world
