I'm not even convinced it will actually be an immediate success because the industry and the market has changed so much from when this game entered development. If they released GTA6 like 5 years ago, it would've been probably the best selling video game of all time. Now? New consoles are overpriced and have less features. People are rebelling against the "all digital" paradigm shift. And PC is even worse, with GPU and RAM prices still sky high, pricing all but the upper 10% of PC gamers out of playing new titles. This is the market Rockstar wants to release GTA6 into, at $80 retail, not even a special edition or anything, you don't even get a manual. Just $80 for a fucking download link in a box.

Don't get me wrong, anybody who can actually afford to will buy it, pretty much, cause GTA6 is basically all that is left from the AAA industry as a whole that anybody has any hope for. Not me, personally. I could play it, I have a rig that can run it decently, but I have zero intention of paying full retail price. I'll wait for a crack, or for the price to drop to under $30.
