I kinda really dislike that usually you get fucking nothing after defeating a boss. I miss that feeling when you are checking out what you can do with their souls. I beat Laurence, one of the hardest bosses I've ever meat in this game, and he gave me only a rune for a very special build. Which is still kinda pointless considering how DLC is end-game content.

The materials help you make more unique dungeons but you dont really need to since you can use the online to load up other people's dungeons for free. At the endgame, exploring all the bonus areas is mostly just for fun of spelunking. Sometimes you get runes or uncanny / lost basegame weapons from them though, or (rarely) very good gems

Having beaten BB, I don't think the rally system works all that well when so many late game bosses don't give a shit about even your big meaty attacks. I get that the visceral is the way to get your health back, but the "you took damage, get back in there to get your health back" thing just never really worked for me unless I was getting a visceral

I really hate those red spiders in chalice dungeons, their attacks have unusually very long reach. And you need to kill the bell lady who summons them, but if you try to run past them they are not only gonna hit you, but also you'll get higher damage because of instability frames/damage during running animation. And dealing with spiders first is just a fucking chore.

Bloodbourne is the only souls game I've played for what it's worth. A few of the other bosses were hard, Rom and the Scooby Doo bullshit took awhile, but Kos was a whole other level of hard for me. I did a third new game+ run a year ago and he took only three or four tries which is very satisfying. I think it's time for a new playthrough!

If you ask AI or google bloodborne recomp I'm sure it will come up. I've only used the emulator one but people seem to like the lantern engine recomp? Blood-starved beast in chalice dungeons is goddamn chore. He's easy, but he has a fuck ton of hp, he's fast so you can get like 2 hits at best, 3 if you lucky or depending on weapon. He's constantly running away from you with his charged attacks, he's spastic so your projectile attacks and throwable items easily missing him. All you can do is just dodge his attacks, hit him once or twice, and back to dodging again, sometimes heal yourself from poison. I died twice on him just because of my impatient. Also, his grabbing attacks is goddamn one-shot, it's almost surely apply poison status on you and you have no time to heal yourself and dodge incoming attacks.
