Shallotte is one of the bustiest Atelier protagonists, she's bustier than Rorona and Escha which is saying something and even so, she's one of the least popular protagonists.

The combination of E&L being a fairly weak entry and then the time management mechanics being stripped out of future games killed my interest in the series for quite a while. I tried out some of the newer entries a while back, and at least enjoyed Firis, but I haven't gotten around to Shallie. It's rare that I see people say much positive about it.

But the Dusk trilogy is basically just all setup for no payoff, and its easy for people to blame the entire thing on Shallie as a game because it 'should have been' the climax of the overarching plot that was never written.It would be an easier world if the order of the series were changed so that Shallie were released as part 2 and then E&L just tanked the entire hatred of the fanbase.
