and it's like it was made in a different era with how engaging it is.
I didn't like it. I prefer COD style nothing to pickup. Though the propaganda is bad, but so is it in that shrink endorsing shit MD.
>>750729623REEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHY HAVE THERE BEEN SO MANY DEUS EX THREADS LATELY, ALL THEY REMIND ME OF IS THAT WE'LL NEVER HAVE THE JENSEN TRILOGY FINISHED
I dropped it when I got to the religious gas mind control people, couldn't figure out how to progress, the original Deus Ex is easier
>>750729685>I prefer COD style nothing to pickup. Though the propaganda is bad, but so is it in that shrink endorsing shit MD.someone get this guy speech cybernetics
>>750730062how retarded are you that you get filtered by a side mission at the beginning of the game LMFAO
>>750730438>side missionI had to get 1000 credits to get through a gate to a police station, which I didn't have, so I explored to do side missions. Each loading point on the train took about 90 seconds as well.
>>750730062You kill the church leader. He has a room up top. That part is optional though and you didn't miss anything.Just the usual jewish shit of trying to make out something good is bad. Like some sanctuary is based on drugs instead of bad out there.Expanding on it, people move as a group and survive cops etc, organise to provide essentials or some art, somethign for them to live on independent from the rest. Stay low and look after anyone without much of a chance. Like more is more padding for the rest. Welcome. Some give in and give up everything they have trying to make something special. Succeeds sometimes and the rest look after them. Get that as a kind of base, their normality. They try and move to live somewhere with just them, the pigs attack, some survive and what remains goes back to it. Some goes on as if it was all a scam, and in part it could be so. Like there is a better order in no order, or trusting that there is, and building their own thing. Despite corps and cops and all the organisation trying to fuck them and recruit, enslave etc.The point being cops and co are the bad guys and recognise their own bad in others grouping. Like any group means people being picked on etc. Some story there in how much is lost by having something. Rather than only having hope.
I really liked Human Revolution, but I was never able to get into any other email reading simulator game.
Hard to get into it after cyberpunk
>>750730693why would you leave the first area BEFORE getting 1000 credits? what compelled you to think "hmm this next area surely will have 1000 credits">90 second loading timesSSD,HDD, or console? I remember it was hell playing on the PS4 and having to travel between hubs
>>750730693>I had to get 1000 credits to get through a gate to a police stationI talked to a police woman near the gate after talking to a document forger and the police woman started a raid and killed everyone at the gate.
You can solve most of the pacing issues with the game by not exploring the entire fucking city during the first daytime visit and limiting yourself to the three POIs, doing the passport quest and starting the samizdat quest but leaving it for the first night Its so easy to unbalance the game by exploring immediately
>>750731229what pacing issues are we talking about because I never had any
>Square Enix killed Deus Ex because Mankind Divided by itself didn't sell 5 million copies
>>750730903Jenson is just so much of a better character to ground the whole cyberpunk genre experience.V makes 2077 feel like GTA, but it doens't really add to the setting. On a gameplay note, I never really noticed much consequence with approaches and quests.2077 is inspired by Human Revolution, sure, but it's very linear.
Listening to this song can allow you to achieve anything intellectually and gives you a sense of purpose.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NmKNVbbGPk
>>750730754>You kill the church leader. He has a room up top.Impossible, the turrets kill me instantly
>>750731913you can block the turrets view with a barrel or get the invisibility augment
>>750729623the game feels very smooth and high end. it takes Human Revolution's movement and combat mechanics and improves every single aspect about them tenfold. i just personally had trouble following the story, none of the characters particularly stand out.
I had a moment where I had to reassess while playing the game after playing so much modern shit because I'd reach a mission objective and think "what does the game want me to do here" instead of "what can I do here"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37iUMkkayA8
>>750732137>very smooth and high endcan you tell me what fps you played at from start to finish?
>>750732447i mean the actual mechanics. the gameplay design is very smooth and professional.
>>750732343Doing an Iron Man run of System Rift was one of the most tense and fun times I have ever had playing a video game
>>750732558what fps did you have from start to finish? did you know you can't play above 100 fps or stairs stop you?did you enjoy hacking everything? codes are useless in this game unless you just want to get straight to the area, hacking gives you more xp and items like nuke software and STOP! software
This and HR's cover system is so good that I don't want to play other stealth games anymore.
>>750729623It's okay, but it can't touch the greatness of the original.
what stuff did you guys notice during your playthrough?>red shoes club
>>750732843Even though it's the future it seems like people read a LOT of magazines.
>>750732840Who the fuck is that on the front cover holding a gun
>>750732987Paul
>>750732843>red shoes clubWhat's the context of that area though
>>750732987JC's early design, obviously. And that on the back is Anna Navarre.
>a bloo bloo augs are actually people tooLiterally like a few years ago everyone with augs chimped out HARD and went full murderbot. It's amazing any clankers are left at all
>>750733024I think they basically swapped JC and Paul's designs at some point.
I'll bring it up every thread, I'll never forget how Human Revolution conditioned people to not get the C19 vac a decade earlier. That is some pre-programming.https://www.reddit.com/r/Deusex/comments/n7b1gh/human_revolution_upgrade_biochip_x_current/
>>750732885Yeah, which is kinda weird. Magazines were a dead end even by the time HR was developed.
>>750729623
>>750733036I don't remember honestly, I think it was a random apartment in prague but the loafer design reminded me of it.
>has to kill a kid because Jensen refused to>Jensen shows back up in his life and guilt trips him into letting him into the morgue>He loses his job over it>Confronts Jensen>Jensen offers to get him a job with Sarif>He dies on Panchaea and you can find his bodyWayne had a hard life
sovlful gameSE deserves a slow death for what they did to it
>>750733307Really, Wayne was on Panchaea? Why?
>>750733393This but also Sleeping Dogs>United Front working on sequel>Square Enix tells them late in development it needs to be an MMO>They try and fail to make an MMO out of what was supposed to be an open-world single player game>Square Enix just shuts them down
>>750733307it's fun as hell to be an asshole to this guy and then shoot him when he wants to fight you later.
>>750729623It's a great game but it's a shame it's not even finished.
>>750733307>>has to kill a kid because Jensen refused toThe game literally doesn't even let you win the speech check if you don't confront him on this.
>>750729685Don't do drugs, kids.
>fire up HR to play with my Rudy ENB mod>does work>doesn't even load passed black screen God damn it.
>>750733516
>>750733307Yeah it's depressing as fuck. I didn't know you could offer him a job. He usually just fires a gun at me in my apartment lobby and I knock him out. It's a great game.
>>750733173Kinda adds an anachronistic feel that fits the cyberpunk setting.
>>750732343Good shit.
>>750732885It's like people wearing wired headphones now, print media is more safe than going online on a phone
>>750729623great fucking game, prague was so much fun to explore and holy FUCK that soundtrack. DLC was amazing too. It'll take some time but people will come around to this game someday
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QDKLglEP5Y
>>750733832>adds an anachronistic feelThat was their intent right? That the technological revolutions were another renaissance or enlightenment period and so the decor design tried to reflect that high class of those times.
>>750733656i really love sneaking around in the police station. Palisade Bank in MD sort of had that feel but wasn't quite on the same level.
>>750733985Come one man how many people are going to remember this
>>750733957>print media is more safe than going online on a phoneAre you saying coporations control more than the government
>>750730903Really? 2077 has a good story but everything else is so average. Night City just doesn't have the attention to detail that goes into making exploration worthwhile. It was a good movie but forgettable game
>>750734235The RPG elements in 2077 are fucking garbage.
>>750734156>mfw going from ps4 load times to 2026 SSD load times
>play this game>oh prague seems pretty cool>visit prague>dont recognize anything>city in the game isnt actually prague
>>750734156Too bad (and idiotic) that videos with sound aren't allowed here, I'd add the music from the intro of Saturday Night Fever there.
imagine if they were allowed to finish the game instead of adding a shitty multiplayer modethanks square
>>750734523So unlike the original, that replicated some real locations pretty well.
>>750734345>>750734235It's not even that, it's just the feel of it all. None of it feels cool in 2077, it feels like CyberFallout 4.here's this society and everyone's a criminal and everyone's a business tycoon and everyone's gay and a lowlife and it's like, this isn't real.
>>750734545Mankind divided: Human resolution
>>750734708>this isn't real.Yeah it's a video game based on a TTRPG written by a black guy in the 80s
>>750734708The worldbuilding is done quite awfully, yeah. The game would actually be better if it wasn't open world as it's clear that they ran out of time to flesh it out. You never even get to properly engage in the corporation stuff beyond a few gig visits to a penthouse or two and some shootouts. The game is like 99% shooting numbers at random gangsters.
>>750729623>with how engaging it is.
>>750731175You can also sneak through the gate easily if you have smoke grenades (since nobody reacts to smokes)
deus ex is trapped forever in some IP limbo right
>>750734898No, I think it's all cleanly owned by the Embracer Group.
>>750729623>it's like it was made in a different eraYeah it was made 10 years ago
>>750735073>Embracergrim
>>750735192dates no longer matter for games past 2015, it's all the same thing now
>>750735815No, games have gotten much worse actually. You're also just saying this because you're living now. If we look back on the 2010s and 20s in a few decades we'lll pretty easily distinguish between them even just in vidya terms
>>750732987Jason Denton
>>750730693You've gotta be the only person on the planet who gets to that kind of scenario in an rpg/imsim and actually pays the toll instead of finding a way around it.
>>750730693>toll paid
>>750736946>not just paying them then knocking them out and taking it back
>>750734234No, the Intelligence cabal control both government and corporations
are there any ENB presets with reshade that make the game look good?
>>750729623i never asked for this
>>750732987John Deus
>>750729623I remember getting it for $1.57 on sale, after finishing the game for the first time in my life I felt that I stole money from the devs. I was pirating since I was 5 y.o and still am but this one game I felt like I must've given them more money than that 1 dorrar. I love this game, sadly there is no sequel to continue the story
>tfw you'll never know if Jensen was a clone
>>750729623It starts out great and the mid game is even better. Too bad it ends in the middle of the fucking story and all but one DLC is shit.
>>750740567My bet is that JC Denton was cloned from Jensen's DNA since Jensen's medical history is probably turbo-scrutinized by the shame shadowy cliques and they only pegged him as someone with the genetics for not needing neuropropozene
>>750740702Wasn't there a hint to that some hidden documents in Human Revolution?
>>750729623This game's story doesn't make any fucking sense. If Adam is a clone then how the hell does he remember everything from before? At no point in the previous game was there ever a chance for the Illuminati to download his memories. Also how the fuck does Adam not know he's a clone when his own Task Force profile literally mentions he doesn't have Sariff augments. Like it's so blatantly fucking obvious he's a clone that you genuinely have to wonder how the hell none of his partners or teammates didn't just gun him down as they jumped off the helicopter in the opening.
>>750740987Wasn't there a long period where he's knocked out after the destruction of that sea platform and that's when he's refitted? Lots of time for all kinds of shenanigans there. The whole clone thing isn't even 'proven' in the game, just implied as a possibility.
>>750740838yeah the backstory was that Jensen never needed neuropropozene which was super speical genes andhis girlfriend got kidnapped for reasons maybe related idkHR also had MJ12 references in late gameI barely touched monkeys divided
I'm tired of defending MD. Let the shallow fucks think it's about racism. There's no 3rd game anyway.
Playing Monkey Divivded I felt pretty dumb going to idiot hack job to get my augmetics reset for the plot line. But hey I guess he got new augmetics and I skipped the check-up clinic firmware myself.I'm all about rat-man gameplay you know and being kitted for stealth was cool. Deus Ex titles usually flop for dumb reasons and then get a long time to cook.
>>750729623>people said during Launch Mankind divided is mid,>play it now with a decent pc >it's actually great>multiple ways to solve most mission (talk, sneak fight, parkour) the Golem looks amazing albeit short and not like Hengsha >cool augs but dogshit dectivation system >beautiful looking Pargue with a great atmosphereWhy did /v/ hate this game again. muh Racism?
>>750730693>took about 90 seconds as well.Just buy a SSD bro. mine only took like 10-30 seconds
>>750742878We didn't know how good we had it and the launch had a lot of shilling for those abysmal microtransactions pushed by SE.
>>750742878Because it's an incomplete game, it ends at a random midboss fight and there's no continuation. Also yeah as other anon said, past squeenix judaism that is no longer applicable.
There’s something so engaging about the Deus Ex games. I don’t know what it is, but I can easily sit through a 7 minute dialogue between characters where in other games I’d be mashing skip.
>>750733307The fuck was he doing in Panchaea.
>>750729623I'm going to tell you it's good because that's what all the uncs will tell you. Did I personally like it? I probably wouldn't make a post like this if I had anything postive to say.
>>750740702they were 100% gonna do that. even sure the third game would have been about Page coup and set in rabi:ah and NSF terrority with the final mission being set around the statue of liberty. than either make a Paul game or a remake of the original
The level of granularity in those levels, even if they're small, is fucking insane.
That questioning mini game augment with the pupil dilation and the heartbeat monitor on the HUD is so good I can’t believe other games haven’t copied it.
>>750729623Finally, did the AI glitch side mission. so Eliza is in love with Jensen and wants his cyber cock?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Oo6YfeAEYkBest music plays only during the most out of character thing Jensen would do.
I'm having a blast. Are you?
>>750729623AUGS LIVES MATTER
>>750742878it's mid as fuck and makes me wonder if any of the people that are discussing it in this thread are real, I asked some retard to tell me what fps he got when he played from start to finish and he never answered me>multiple ways to solve most missionjust hack your way through everything and there's ALWAYS a vent leading to where you need to go.>the Golem looks amazing albeit shortyou mean golem city? what the fuck is "the Golem"?>>750743060>it ends at a random midboss fightdid you even play the game? it ends in jensen's hotel. just proving my point even further.
>>750738424>nobody answered this question>nobody talks about how buggy the game ishave any of you actually played the game?
>got de:hr when i was a kid>english was my second language so could barely follow the story>but the setting was cool, interesting characters and okay gameplay>try de:md later on>impressive visuals but too much detail, hurt my head too look at>had become a real gaymer by this point so i expected a toggle aim option for shooters>this game didn't have one so i dropped it after meeting the weird doctorstill hoping for a new deus ex with a female protag
>>750746897>just hack your way through everything and there's ALWAYS a vent leading to where you need to go.>options are bad, iwant less way to solve mission stealthy okay>>750747184>Fem protagNah. finish Adam story and than do denton brother. no one wants a femoid protag
>>750747637you're missing the whole point buddy>options are bad, iwant less way to solve mission stealthynobody said that you ESL>hacking gives more xp and items, doesn't matter if you have the code, hacking is always better 100% of the time
>>750729623I liked it and it's a shame we'll never get more of it>>750730903That shit is so overrated. For example, I've seen heated discussions about what lifepath is best and when I finally tried it out, corpo btw, the prologue ends in less than half an hour to throw me onto some generic merc work.
https://youtu.be/fhT28y_dGJE
>>750729623MD was already part of the libshitted era we are currently in, fuck you
>>750729623Go woke studio broke
>>750748196>>750748142How was it woke?
>>750748278They released a half finished game several years too late and didnt make a sequel
>>750748278the only thing I can think of is them making your sidekick chick black, your pilot black, and some blue haired girl at the beginning of the game
>>750730062You can literally just kill him
>>750729623If this game had a better ending, it would be one of the greatest of all time. Absolute masterpiece of a game until the end where it just stops right when you think you're getting to the final act.
Will the remaster be good?
>>750748304if that's woke than half the game /v/ loves and adore are woke.
>>750748476Well they ok'd the initial designs so the team isn't made out of superstar devsIf they manage to fix the npcs I'll check it out
>>750748476Are they remaking everything in the invisible war engine? the character model and shadow looks eerily similar
>>750748036>the prologue ends in less than half an hour to throw me onto some generic merc work.Yeah it's obivous 77's plot was a cut and paste job - The heist at Nakatomi should've been the middle of the game adn a culmination of V and Jackie buidling their street cred. Half the game should've been about us taking down Dexter for snaking us. Bt everything got thrown aways for fucking Keanu.
>>750729623Keep in mind these games were heavily criticised when they were released too. Also, it's an unfinished trilogy, unfortunately for us
