The combat is closer to Nioh than Souls, though I don't think it's really that similar.

You have the Square combo, which doesn't take stamina/sha-chi and the Triangle combo, which can be comboed into from any Square string and these attacks take stamina/sha-chi. The actual abilities like L1+Triangle, or charge moves etc don't take anything unless specifically mentioned and that is per-weapon. Like some weapons let you charge a Y that takes no additional stamina, while others let you throw weapons or teleport. LT is a special move that has its own build up, and RT is a secondary weapon that has its own thing.You naturally build stamina while spamming Square attacks so you can kinda be offensive without using stamina, then dump for the harder hitting moves.

>>750922320I'd say for this over Onimusha, Onimusha has worse enemy variety, and reuses bosses like crazy. Ontop of those issues, you run into the side content being kinda filler because its not rewarding. Onimusha's final boss clears this games entire roster and I am not even being hyperbolic. and yeah you can do it all in one playthrough. Hell this game is super generous compared to similar games because it clearly marks quests on a map, where you don't have a key item to progress, and then shows you where you can progress because you got a key for an earlier area 5 hours ago. You'll get an ability and instead of wondering where the fuck this one door was you just open the map and its green. Full respecs on weapons so you can try shit easily.
