Are they worth playing?
>>750909335Yes Just the soundtrack alone is kino
>>750909335I liked Human Revolution well enough but Mankind Divided bored me to tears
>>750909335Yes
>>750909335HR is one of the best games of the century
>>750909335I've tried restarting Mankind Divided probably 10 times and I get bored right after intro mission.
>>750909335Yeah. They aren't as good as the original but since the original's a timeless classic that's not surprising, but they're still good games
>>750909335>Playing?Yes>Praising?Yes>Forcing your children to play thru Jensen's storyYes>Idolizing JensenYes>Posting in deus ex threadsYesI could go on but you get the point.
>>750910283This was my experience my first 3 attempts with it but it's worth sticking through the first couple hours.
>>750910635This was such a weird mechanic. You couldn't even risk doing these if you were nonlethal because you didn't have a choice to not kill them if anyone was on the other side.
DXHR is fine, really easy tho.DXMD is also fine but also feels very generic.
>>750909335No. Especially not on consoles.
>Don't see NuDeus Ex threads for years>Finish HR few days ago and then see multiple threads every day now
They don't stand up to the original at all, especially story wise. They felt really boring and I recall the AI was pretty shit.I think they half assed the whole thing and didn't have proper direction, or at least wanted to keep things so tame, that the game would have the most general appeal.
>>750910830>You couldn't even risk doing these if you were nonlethalThat's what annoys me. Otherwise great stealth games such as DeusEx or Dishonored that lock the cool shit away on the lethal/bad path
>>750909335I just can't help to start whistling Detroit City Ambience when I see anything related to this game manPS: yeah, play it
>>750909335Wall guy
>>750909335Human revolution, yes, pretty good.Mankind Divided, meh, boring downgrade.
>>750910830>>750911074You can't do nonlethal in HR since you're forced to kill the bosses
>>750910830if you stand behind a breakable wall your life is not worth living
>>750911438>um, ackshuwally there are no 'nonlethal' playthroughs because boss battles
>>750909335Yeah. HR has a mediocre ending.
>>750909335I would only recommend the 1st game.
Should you play Human Revolution first or go straight to Deus ex 1?
>>750911002>he noticed?>take him out
>>750909821AND YOU CAN DANCEAND WE CAN DANCE
>>750909335I enjoyed DE:HR. Didn't play the other one.
>>750911438>>750911732Didn't they patch in dialogue to skip fighting the bosses like a decade ago
>>750911438Boss battles were a separately developed side game, they're not part of HR
>>750911002Shit happens to me all the time. You either you get used to it or have a psychotic breakdown. Your choice.
>>750912284Deus Ex 1 is better and more foundational to what's going on in the prequels than the other way around.
>>750912268Agreed
>>750912458I think just for the DC.
>>750912458yes
>>750910830you can destroy the breakable walls by just shooting them enough iirc. it was one way to destroy them without killing the people on the other side, but it's not real useful for stealth
>>750911002You highly underestimated how fucking pozzed everything is and how much literally every single process on your computer is monitoring youTake for example this linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvCsTca0uBcYou dont even need to open itYou dont even need to hover or acknowledge it, nor even show up in your screen4chan already did its thing by fetching the url's title, it's already over. Shit tangentially related to this will now eventually show up in your feed. Maybe not immediately, otherwise you'll instantly see the relation. But it will eventually come back to you
>>750909335The both of them kind of miss the point of Deus Ex. Mankind Divided especially just has you hack 200000 computers for exp which is NOT what you do in the old Deus Ex games.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO2WIFTm7n4doseshame he turned out to actually be crazy and thought that his ex-wife hired the FBI to gangstalk him
>>750911002And I haven't played it in 12 years, so it cancels out
>>750912819>tfw fast-reading emails on a computer because I refused to upgrade my 1 value point in the skill
>>750909335No. They're very dangerous games that advocate for stealing candy bars.
>>750909335I did not enjoy HR. The color pallet was oddly stuck in the '08 piss-filter era and the game railroaded you into a specific build. FPV just doesn't work for stealth. I would give it another chance though, that was a long time ago and I was probably brain damaged at the time.
>The same amount of time has gone by since the release of Mankind Divided as there was between the original Deus Ex and Human RevolutionThis probably doesn't mean much if you're a mid 20s zoomer, but when Human Revolution came out, the original Deus Ex already felt like such an old game due to how much graphics and such progressed over that decade. Mankind Divided could come out today with the same graphics it had in 2016 and I wouldn't be able to tell much difference between it and a 2026 game. Basically, Im saying it doesn't feel like Mankind Divided came out that long ago whereas it felt like an entire era of gaming came out betrween 2001 and 2011.
>>750911002We're always watching.
>>750913112>shame he turned out to actually be crazy and thought that his ex-wife hired the FBI to gangstalk him
>>750911438Clankers aren't human so they don't count.
>>750909335Yeah, I reinstalled it just to rip 1 model and played like 2 hours
The only thing I remember about Mankind Divided is it ending at the start of the third act.
