Guess Nintendo is a dead platform

I always preferred the GBA and it's been years since I've last played on any DS family handheld but mine are:

To be fair, it isn't my favorite Pokemon game but I though the Pokemon available were good and the battles were also enjoyable (plus the visuals are great).
It still has a lot of flaws (mainly how slow it can be at times, especially in battles), but its one of the better Pokemon games. (Also if you have a DSi you can probably mod it to play Platinum with QoL patches such as faster HP drain and all catchable pokemon)

Recommend some games that don't have a shitton of prequels please. My ocd won't let me start mid-series. I already played TWEWY, EBA, Attorney trilogy, Ghost Trick, Laytons, Aliens metroidvania, Monster Tale, probably some more. Didn't like the Trauma Center.

Best generation that made the series evolve from surface level to a deeper competitive side with the special/physical split. Also; the dex of new mons brought a lot of great ones. There's also the fact that DS GBA slot allowed people to migrate their GBA mons from gen 3 games and made some mons span in gen 4 games depending the cart on the gba slot

This is going to sound dumb but something that soured the DS for me was how I had "that kid" as a friend in 4th grade who kept telling me to buy one for him on his birthday. He thought I was rich because I had multiple game systems, then he hated me for not buying him a DS and said I wasn't invited to his birthday party (I was never invited to begin with). He also tried to get our mutual friends to hate me too.

Years and years ago... This dumb anon here went to ACen. They had a registration issue that year. I was in the reg line for ten hours.
It was unreal. I had my DS (phat) with me. ALL of the pictochat rooms were full to the point of booting people. I turned off my backlight and the battery let me draw furry tits all day. I still have that DS.
I should probably get a new battery for it.

Its not a great game but the first game I played on DS was called "Lost Magic" where you cast spells by drawing symbols on the touch screen.
I think its worth a try at least. I dunno, its got a special place in my heart.
