It really was shit, US fanfest gave me a bit of hope after the dumpster fire dawntrail was. But not only did they delay evercold after announcing it so confidently, they didnt show ANYTHING new or interesting thats supposed to sell me on it. And everything was about raids which maybe 10% of the playerbase engage in.

The change to fates is obviously coming in 8.0, otherwise you'd have this awkward change to how fates are done after people are used to those fates. It'd also make sense for a content line. Season 1 has people in the overworld to work on the fate count, then Season 2 has the world raid bosses.
