As a person who hasn't played an FE since Conquest, what is it about Weave that makes the more franchised players hate it? Take note I recognize it has lots of brown and DEI, if that's the complaint (and one of the things I was cautious of). But after playing it, it also has lots of tits and ass, fun characters, interesting story but the game is absurdly long. Plus the DLC basically revealed I'm missing half my game, that's what pisses me off the most. Take in mind the switch 2 has sold 30M on Mario Kart alone. When Zelda and Pokemon drop they're gonna sell 50M by the 2.5 year. Smash hasn't been announced yet. Overall the Switch 2 might not get the Switch 1 numbers but it's certainly selling 100M for sure.

This quarter's Switch 1 software sales are 64M of which Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven account for just over 10. A lot of people who buy a Switch 2 are going to use it in a significant capacity to play Switch 1 games they may have missed (if they had one at all) rather than only sticking to exclusive Switch 2 games.

Total sales for this quarter were 2.67 million which isn't horrible until you see sales have crashed in Japan. It sold 1.04 there last quarter and 0.4M last quarter (totaling 1.42M for the year). Price is certainly becoming an issue with this thing. Star Fox actually broke a million where Yoshi and Mario Tennis didn't so clearly price is a big issue for this fucking console. Games may be over priced at even $70. They sold 15 million in software which is up from about 9 million last quarter. Better but still not great when you realize Switch 1 sold 42 million in software in Q2 of 2018 and when the console sold 22 million, it sold 111 million in software. Attach rate for Switch 2 is still 2.8. The fact that Nintendo's best selling games were Switch 1 games, it kind of shows shit sells on Switch 1 and doesn't on Switch 2. Mario Kart World is still down from what 8 was doing around the same time (2.49M in Q2 of 18/19 yr). Sales were mostly driven by Global (see Starfox and FW which is still below Engage's 1.6M).

Also, First party sales were 54% and first party sales (to total software) was 69%. So there really hasn't been a shift. Report is mid. Fanboys wont care much but investors are seeing the writing on the wall that this thing isn't going to do anywhere near Switch 1, especially in terms of software.
