Thanks, GayI. This is just what we needed at a time where physical is getting purposefully targeted to strip us of even more layers of ownership.
>>
>>751035059
Pretty sure that applies to switch 1 cartridges

Didn't tech stocks just get assraped over AI overcomittment?
>>
good thing Nintendo uses Samsung now.
>>

Just 1 more year, in 2 years, we'll be 5 years away from profit in 10 years!
>>
>>751035194
it's sunk cost fallacy at this point. keep investing keep investing i know it hasn't turned a profit yet but keep investing keep investing.
>>
>>751035059
why do data centres need all these resources
>>
>>751035473
You play Warframe? Get to the hex?
Imagine these people are doing a demonic ritual to summon a faggot "god" and it needs motherboards.
>>
>>751035121
It does but let us not be distracted by facts.
>>
>>751035473
It's not that they need them so much as they need the appearance of growth for investors. Buying a bunch of parts that'll sit unused in warehouses is part of that. The moment one of the big players shrugs, it all comes toppling down.
>>
>>751035194
warehouses are general purpose, a data-center is just a specific kind of warehouse
>>
>>751035194
You kids don't remember this but when the Internet was new, there was a huge bubble that popped and it was a pretty big deal. And yet you children can't imagine a world without the Internet, you would die without your social media and your YouTubers
>>
>>751035194
There have already been numerous points at which a rational business would slow down their AI pivot.
They ignored all those times already, why would they start being sensible now?
They like share price increases more than actual profits.
>>
>>751035194
valuation is pretend money
they can just imagine a trillion dollars next week and stocks go back up
when anthropic goes public they'll just make up even more money it will be the first 10 trillion dollar company
>>
>>751037814
And eventually they, or their investors, will want to cash out.
Currently they're hoping to do so with shares to leave the bagholding hunt for profit off of shareholders gambling on it's success.

Meanwhile character.ai was valuated at 1 billion dollars, had a licensing deal with google and everything. When they actually sold Disney bought the IP rights for $20 mil and even that is likely to have just been a gamble.

>physical media

Friendly reminder that consoles are the last mainstream plaforms that still use physical media. It's bound to die. It's surprising it lasted so long.
>>
>>751038995
Nah, without physical a large part of the market in JP is cut off.
And without the JP market there won't be any consoles regardless.

>there was a huge bubble that popped and it was a pretty big deal
Comparing the AI bubble to the dotcom bubble is pretty disingenuous. The internet was being used for a million different things already back then. Retards were investing in jeet tier scams that made up maybe 2% of internet traffic because having a website meant your stock was going to the moon in the minds of people who were still using rotary phones to call in and make stock trades. The AI bubble is the inverse with like 80% of the technology being built to do the same thing the same way that has been repeatedly pissing off the general public every time it shows up.
>>
>>751035059
I thought nintendo was anti-AI
>>
>>751039079
>Retards were investing in jeet tier scams that made up maybe 2% of internet traffic
So exactly the same as now with people investing into companies that just mention AI and giving them utterly insane valuations.
I'd say a good chunk of current AI investments are pure scams whereas some are hybrids that are technically offering a service but in reality it's just a marked up version of either a local model or a high-end one with a different frontend. (that likely dynamically changes when their credit is low to shittier cheaper models)
Incidentally many of the companies that went bankrupt were actually doing what Amazon et al went on to do. Selling shit online for instance.

Imagine having the intelligence of a rock to not piece together what the fuck that headline really mean and you just post some totally unrelated stupid statement in return. Jesus.
>>
>>751035121
>>751035975
also this was not the only provider nintendo has for switch 1 carts either
>>
>>751036957
I don’t like how you use the word “rational” to mean “in pursuit of healthy long term sustainable profitability”.

That isn’t what rational actors will pursue because the incentive structure isn’t promoting it
>>
>>751038995
>Friendly reminder that consoles are the last mainstream plaforms that still use physical media.
See: books, magazines, vinyls, newspapers, music CDs, DVD/Bluray, etc
>>
>>751035059
Its all intentional look up agenda 2030
Chat contol is related to this, they want total control. Literally 1984
>>
>>751035059
This was Nintendo's plan all along
>offer Game Key Cards, pass them off as physical games
since they're just download codes on plastic, carts can be easily disabled remotely
>physical sales go down, which leads to publishers abandoning physical media
>manufacturers begin to shut down production, citing low sales
>feedback loop forms GKC result in fewer physical games->fewer cart orders->manufacturers shut down->more GKC games
>Nintendo gets to pass the buck, blaming "supply shortages"
Meanwhile consumers shoulder the cost of storage (more SD cards)
>>
>>751039079
>repeatedly pissing off the general public every time it shows up
Performative online outrage trends don't represent average or normal people. Most people don't give a shit one way or another. If they see a funny video or picture, they don't care if it used AI and why would they? Same thing in the end if it makes you laugh, and it's still some random guy's idea

You believe words are like magic fairy dust that become true if you just keep repeating them, don't you?
>>
>>751035194
Yeah

And hopefully with the democrats in power they can outlaw Ai

How will tendies spin this?
>>
>>751039105
Are you retarded?

I voted for this

You're a disgusting freak that should be put down like a dog
>>
>>751035059
Hrm...they should go all in on pails of water instead.
>>
>>751053708
if correcting basic misinfo now is "damage control" then nintendo derangement syndrome tards have really lost the plot completely
>>
>>751048696
But support for AI is bipartisan.

Will go right back to normal next week

ok when its an old gayman with a cat gonna nuke in a time loop?
>>
>>751035059
Not a bad thing considering Nintendo wants everyone to go Digital anyways by pushing Keycards to Physicals.
>>751035194
Stocks go up and down constantly. It's unpredictable but i can tell you that this bubble is not going to pop for Data Centers until late 2027 and consumer products will plateau into 2028. But basically the fulfillment of Data Centers is expected to finish by 2030.
>>
>>751039079
Finance will find ways to overinvest in emerging technology no matter how big a deal it will end up being in the end, from railroads to the internet. If only because 5 different big corporations will fight to try to become the Amazon of AI, and in the end one will win and make like 75% of what was invested in the losers worthless.

So nobody else can have them.

Oh no. What will we do without Nintendo remakes?
