I'm not from China so I don't really care about this kind of thing. and yet I'm not from Japan and they still manage to make interesting games even though a lot of them are still Feudal Japan with anime and magic: The game. Honestly though, it seems like every big game out of China that you hear about in the west is a Wuxia / Ancient Chinese mythology style game. Every single one. Meanwhile Japan you have games like Resident Evil which still feel Japanese and yet have nothing really to do with Japan in their stories, or Zelda, or Mario, or Metroid or Castlevania or Sonic or Pokemon or countless other games that innovated something new in video games, yet you see nothing like that ever come out of China. A country of 1.5 billion people and the only games we ever get are Wuxia.
The sad thing is, if they were all dressed like this, nobody would be asking any questions, because this is what the european race has been brainwashed to admire.
