Unrelated but I don't like puzzles that don't show you all the pieces or it's not explicitly stated or shown that you can even solve it yet. I'm fine with figuring out a puzzle when I know what's all involved. I don't want to have to figure out what a puzzle piece is or if I have everything needed or not.For example, if you have arrange 5 statues to open some kind of ancient door, but apparently the statues had to be enchanted first by some other character you have to bring along, you needed some ancient amulet you get later in the story.
