So I played with all but one procode the entire olymp and now I reached twillight town and it really is tiresome against the demon tower. Also after learning that I actually still need to beat the entire limit cut boss fights WITH all pro codes enabled kinda makes me want to postpone this stuff to a ng+ run.

I didn't like it, or flying in Neverland, because the clunky 3D movement can fuck with your combos and you're locked out of a bunch of your abilities. It's not a bad world, if you focus on magic then you won't even feel much different, but it just feels weird to play.

I bought the KH 1.5 2.5 whatever pack on steam and am currently getting my ass beat raw by the armor boss on proud mode, I know it's just a very tough skill check without any ability to dodge or block yet but should I just bitch out and try that critical mode mod? Does it work well or what?

That's your issue right there. Don't bother healing your party members. You may not be able to block or dodge roll but you can still avoid the attacks if you're cautious and you'll have more healing for yourself if you don't heal Donald. You can also parry some attacks but that's probably not worth attempting.

I've never been one to use them that much in KH1, but I've always seen people say that you can make them more useful. Goofy gets something good late game.
But you want to focus in on yourself in the early game because your own survivability isn't great until you get cure.

Finally finished kh2 after my epic games final mix save was lost 3 separate times with an original ps2 hard copy.
Cool game, I prefer the first one just from its level design and the Disney stuff just seems more connected/cohesive but it was fun.
Disappointed that I'm finding out that final mix added like half of the content people onions about

No roxas fight which was really sad..was very anticlimactic for the meeting too be a 20 second cutscene

Try tweaking their settings if you're having trouble this early in the game. For the mid and late parts of the game they'll get useful abilities and you wouldn't even need to tweet their settings at all (maybe except for secret bosses)

Party members can be helpful in KH1 but there’s really no point in healing them because if they get knocked out they’ll get back up after like a minute by themselves. Just focus on keeping Sora alive. Also, don’t give party members any potions or ethers except before a tough fight, because they’ll just waste them on normal enemies.

i don't think that mod is one you should use in your first playthrough, it's really just for people on their nth replay that want something different
also what the other anons said, don't bother reviving them (outside indirectly doing it by giving them items, and even then you might as well not do that either), especially given they not only revive by themselves after a while but later down the line they get abilities that make them revive even faster. FYI, you can press triangle (or Y on xbox, X on nintendo) to "call" them, that means they either help you or just come close to you (which might help them get out of danger)
also also, don't be afraid to use whatever you can outside of the normal ass base attack, be it items, abilities, summons etc etc. Don't be a hoarder cause it makes the game(s) much more unfun, use everything you have as there's nothing you can't just get again

pirate the pc version if money is an issue, whatever you do don't emulate the PS2 (or original versions) of the games as the remixes (aka the one you can buy on steam/epic) made most of them obsolete.
Except for KH Days and Re:Coded, but that's only cause they aren't playable in the remix versions (they're just remade as "movies"), you can not only emulate those but there's specific emulators made for them to make them close to a normal console game. Days especially has like a million different projects on that note, but i'd say to get melon mix cause it supports both Days and Re:Coded

Also yes, replay it cause you didn't just miss that content, the gameplay itself is fundamentally different. You can just skip cutscenes if you feel like it anyway
