I've completed the CC on year one across four (4) different playthroughs>standard>remixed>curated (I specifically went into the bundles portion of the game file and manually changed them to select the bundles I wanted. I had to start several different files and scour the "code" to find the lines I needed for each specific bundle, then pasted those into a final file)>modded so that it would require ALL available bundles in a category, meaning fucking NINE bundles in each room lmaoThis last one was actually pretty fun. Because it forces you to engage with more of the game. That's where I think the difficulty should come from. There are some mods that make it "harder" just by asking for like 50 milk instead of 1. That's not particularly difficult, just more time consuming. Ideally, you'd want more variety to increase difficulty. Having a higher number of stuff required is fine to a certain extent, but it shouldn't be the main challenge

Is there a mod that makes farming more difficult? As it stands, there's no chance of a loss when farming. It's always free gains. I want heat waves, hail, cold snaps, and excessive rain that could wipe out the majority of a crop. Having to replant and replan a week into a season would be exciting. I want hardships and setbacks.

Anyways, my problems with furniture in sun haven are as follows:>4 different furniture stores across multiple villages in the game, each with their own unique pools of furniture that they sell, and 3 of the four requiring story progression to reach>5 to 6 types of furniture slots in each shop, extra large, large, medium and small furniture and walls and flooring, with 1 or two slots for each furniture type, and the starter general store requiring multiple upgrades to get extra slots>furniture sold rotates every day, meaning that if you want a specific piece of furniture you'll have to wait for it's slots to cycle through a massive pool of furniture until you get the furniture that you want>stock for said furniture is limited, meaning you usually get 1-3 pieces of furniture at best, and that you're screwed and have to wait for it to cycle through furniture again if you want to use things like lights, chairs and shelves if you didn't get enough the first time.>a bunch of the crafted furniture looks like shit or belongs to sets, so if you want shit that looks nice you're forced to wait AND some of the crafted furniture can take up slots in the general stores>some furniture that should be rotatable isn't for some reason>a large amount of furniture is locked to festivals, which start at specific times and the player can easily miss because the game has a shit ton of stuff you have to manage that will usually take priority.Imagine waiting like a year and a half in-game time to buy a chair, only being able to buy 3 of that chair, and then getting home and finding out you can't rotate the chair meaning it can't be placed around the table you also had to wait a year and a half to buy.

Are you supposed to cut down fruit trees to replant them or is the sapling quality system there to make it so you're not punished for remodelling your orchard?I'm surprised the wiki's crops have entire spreadsheets and growing cycles listed but there's basically nothing for fruit trees despite the fruit tree page being quite light on information.

It's not like there is any real variant between them. Banana trees grow on ginger island, some trees and fruits have different prices and some are used for recipes or as gift. That's pretty much it. So exactly 5 seasons after you planted a tree, it will be silver quality and exactly 4 seasons later is will be gold quality. If you plant a silver quality sapling, you just have to divide by 2 since 112 and 28 are both even. You plant a fruit tree on the first of summer year 1, it will be done growing by year 1 fall 1 and will be silver quality by year 2 fall 1.

Farmer bros, I need help understanding grass growth. I am playing vanilla on the Switch, so no mods plz. I create grass with 10 fiber and I plant it around the farm, but my animals eat it all up before it can replenish itself. I have a large patch of grass on the south end of my farm where all my cows and goats go and there are no issues with the grass maintaining growth. My chickens on the north side of the farm have eaten all their grass despite me constantly replanting more. Do I need to just grow big patches of grass outside of the animals' reach and harvest the hay that way? My intention for grass is to feed the animals either by harvesting with my scythe or the animals grazing.
