I didn't start raiding until late Vanilla when the mechanics were already trivial by then, so this is my first time really raiding new content (P1 Mag/Gruul too short for comparison). It's been such a slog. Split up SSC into ~6 hrs over two nights and still couldn't down Vashj. I know it'll get easier over the next few weeks, but the amount of time spent organizing, buffing, eating, applying oils/stones/poisons, wiping and waiting for rez, and then rinse, wash, repeat is mind numbing. And that's just one raid - how do you guys make time for both SSC and TK (assuming you've already gotten all your gear from mag/gruul and Kara)?

Progressing your character wasn't the sole focus of the game, the game was treated like a sandbox. No one thinks about it like that anymore though and I don't see how you can retrieve that when everyone has preconceived notions of what 'classic' is after 7 years of leveling and raidlogging.

Finally this tier is almost over. Feels like forever. And I didn't even start until well into January. TBCCA were tearing their hair out after 12 weeks with all the front loaded expansion re-release with leveling and pre-bis farm. Had to go check how many Ulduar clears I've done and how it compares and we would still have few resets to go to reach the 30 resets I did there. I can say: Throne of Thunder - experienced! Cool raid, but I'm ready to move on to new challenges.
