The game itself is not new player friendly or casual friendly at all so your theoretical ceiling for player growth is hard capped before you even start to try and bring in new players. How many hours does a player need before they can genuinely contribute to a game with more than a handful of heroes? How many hours do they need to learn the map, learn the item progressions, and learn how to lane/last hit? 500? 1000? The game was always unsustainable.
