Ever since Hexi though there has been the same slow and steady decline of the people who could look past that. The campaigns have been ass and there still isn't enough to do in co-op. Without a lot more fun pve content, it's just going to keep happening. The game needs to honestly go full mmorpg but it is a mobile game so it won't. There needs to be a lot more to do in online mode. Dungeons, open world field bosses, more fleshed out sect system etc. A black market that should have been there at release. Give people a reason to gather and hunt besides mystic skills and bow crafting and a way to earn pearls through the market. It's been a fun ride regardless.

I get the reason for the timegates. They want to keep the holy trinity intact and keep it a slow grind for metrics. But even a good dps can do the job of a tank in most group content so the strategy obviously isn't working. Only having a single set of inner ways leveled really kills experimentation so 3x the daily energy would be great in that regard. Ultimately I think it's still just a lack of multiplayer content. Dungeons would be the perfect middle ground between sword trial and hero's realm. It's like a sword trial boss at the end but some rooms of trash mobs, unique mobs like the 1v1s in the most recent area where they all used our own martial arts and skills. Maybe throw some light puzzles in like Qinghe had in its campaigns and let let us 6x claim at the end to make up for the time difference. Then giant field bosses that everyone on your current server shard has to join to fight and whittle down for a chance at unique cosmetics or something. No energy used for that but an endgame low drop rate chase and maybe they can only spawn every few hours. 1 in each area. It's just standard mmo stuff that this game would greatly benefit from. You can keep actual account progress the same while adding more content to fill the void left by the energy system.

The only way you can kill anybody as a tank is by being overly aggressive, abusing talon strike and swapping to spear all the time. You basically try to overwhelm them with pokes while making the best use of your tenacity. It doesn't work against players who don't panic though. You also need to perfectly parry and dodge cloud step and all the CC shit and you still lose to fagbrella or troonstrike.
