how does one get mending in latest bedrock? seems like villagers need to get sucked off to reveal second level book trade. almost never book on first trade. also the workbench reset doesnt work! i tried backing up my world, fully giving the villager all my resources until lvl 3, seeing he doesnt have mending i tried on another backup but it gave the same trades. is it related to the viliger??? im on day 300 and still using copper tools i am going insane no mendiog no fortune juist tunnels and highbways

To restock their supply they need to have access to their lectern and walk on top of it. It takes 20 minutes, and you have to be nearby. They restock the book after 10 minutes with a higher price, and lower the price after another 10.

Best I can do is recommend you look for a YT video, especially a world tour or something like that, that gives you a good look at a bunch of builds. I think any sort of tutorial or showcase video is likely to be overdesigned, but long-running SMPs tend to have a much wider range of buildings
If you can't find a good design online, just make one. Draw a random shape based on combined/intersecting/chunked out rectangles and it will likely work better than trying to imitate google photos with restrictive block choices on a small island.Kinda like pic rel. Give each section some purpose. Can use same colors for all but 1-2 which would be different, relevant to their purpose.

Welp, I had to basically restart from the foundations because the numbers wouldn't work out. I tried expanding it to a 4 column design, but of coooourse that means that in the second floor, if you go back 1 space, you get 14, which cannot be fucking divided in ANY combination of columns other than 7, which would leave you with just TWO. Wanted to build a sort of early modern castle on this mountain sort of in the vein of Stirling or Edinburgh castle. So lots of warm stone, which I find stone and stone bricks too grey for. I've tried this experiment with mud bricks, and it looks okay from this angle. However, when you can't see the tiled roof, it just looks a bit formless. I tried to add some detail with dark terracotta and stripped dark oak windowsills, but I don't know if this really works. I miss the yellow/black factory blocks from modded Yellow/black concrete seems like the only replacement or do people do a different method for builds like that? I've only skimmed the thread but a straw bed seems dumb. The "its a mod comments" are relevant but the real problem is its consumable (i think) but it uses hay bales which are kind of expensive relative to a bed, you can get wood and wool anywhere, the straw bed will be like 27 wheat.
