I don't understand why they didn't make mirrors tied to the map metas. That way people would be incentivized to do the actual metas and they wouldn't have had to nerf the mirror rewards into the ground. Now that both mirrors and metas give crap rewards I can't imagine anyone coming back to these maps very often. The mirrors were an awful gimmick because they made the best farm in the game stupidly easy with no combat required, but these maps need a reason for people to do them, so just tie the mirrors to metas and make the rewards good again, similar to how octovine and dragonfall do it.

It took me until around level 65 to start finally enjoying and "getting" Revenant gw2, and decided (from advice from people in game) to do Herald first and I am 50% through collecting hero points for it and I am straight up not having a good time. Should I bail for Renegade or Vindicator? I feel like Herald made me go from a stance swapping juggler to someone who stands next to people like a retard so they can enjoy my presence.
The idea that every component of an MMORPG is inferior to the equivalent in a single-player or more narrow multiplayer game is generally true, especially in GW2's case, but I think the mounts are actually very good on their own merits.
