I MEANT TO POST THIS
What does Zonda actually do as the Priestess of Eden? We know what Kirin does as a Priestess of Sumeragi/Shadow Yakumo as she talks about those duties, and we play her. As the Priestess of ATEMS, Layla/Luxia sings and dances in rituals that have actual measurable effects. Is Zonda's claim to being priestess just being strong, talking in a precocious monotone, and inspiring people?
>>568116023Holy sexo I want to slap that ass
I forgot to say, for those who fear the shame of relying on others in your life, who don't make an effort, and who seek honor with wealth and others' achievements, your way of living is so repulsive that it opposes the masquerade's purpose, so please, meet your end right here.
>>568116416She secretly own a casino and take money out of idiots
>>568116416The thing that seems to unite all three priestesses so far is deeper insight into Septimas and better supernatural/psychic sensing abilities.

What a shitshow.Good thing is, with the Capcuks completely excized from the general, no one complain about geniebutts being offtopic or not now.

>>568117957Yeah it's beyond over.
>>568117860Still offtopic faggot.
Is there some reason we're just /inti/ now without the /mmg/ part? I saw something about a trannitor rebrand or something last thread but don't know what the deal is exactly.
>>568118137The last 4 threads got nuked for no reason until we removed /mmg/ from the title. This clearly means nothing and it's just a coincidence.
>>568118137/mmg/ deleted a bunch of our threads until we dropped /mmg/ from our title.
I-It's not like we wanted to have /mmg/ in the OP, b-baka!
>>568118137First thread might have been nuked on site because of Meiru. Later ones were nuked because of splits and what could be considered spamming. So /mmg/ was taken out to get around it.
>>568118353>>568118369I see. I'm guessing that means either>one of the trannies over there got in as a janny and started targeting the threads>started systemically mass reporting the threadsDo we plan to reintroduce the /mmg/ after some time, or add something like /mega/, etc?
>>568118656Not true

>>568118674It's not like the Mayl image was nsfw. It's an anime screenshot.
>>568118881Yeah but a lot of Meiru threads in /v/ get nuked because they end up porn dumps. So that probably carried over. But fighting hallucinations seems more on brand for the general.
>>568118656
>>568118674>Later ones were nuked because of splits and what could be considered spamming. There's been intentional or unintentional "split" threads in the past, yet every time before Friday the mods kept one of the two up, this time they deleted not only both but even the singular one that came afterwards. Hey, if you want to fuck around with the next OP be my guest, but as someone who was there and saw the blatantly targeted attack first hand I'll tell you now, they'll get your thread too.
>>568116023You stupid cunt. Knew I should have baked myself. Add /mmg/ back.

Let's be real, brand aside, the threads haven't changed much so if this keeps the general alive that's fine by me.You could try to stamp the /mmg/ brand on the title again some other time to test it out but if it keeps happening just leave it as it is, is not like we are deleting the mega man related stuff in the OP anyway.
PreCure, and still no Zonda erasure. Lots of carrot memes because Wonderland rabbit shit. They're getting into weird crossovers now, because apparently, PreCure is in the same world as Case Closed. Like it's not a cameo, it's an actual multi episode story arc that will solve big plot threads.
>>568117860No, you're still offtopic. Take your brown ass back to your designated shitting street.
>>568119960Like I said, make the next thread yourself with /mmg/ back in if you're so confident.

>>568126958>>568128015The early impressions of GVGX so far seems to be that it's the equivalent of that one Classic-X crossover episode in the shitty Ruby Spears Mega Man Cartoon. It's a side quest that takes place in the middle of another bigger story. Gunvolt is already fighting some unknown villain with time control powers, and he's far enough in the shit enough to have real Lumen with him. I don't think they're going to wrap up anything. It's going to end with Gunvolt returning to his home timeline to face the guy who imprisoned him.Don't know though, maybe they do wrap up everything. Apparently they're doing a run through of the full campaign. That's enough time to do more story than ATEMS.
>>568130973>The early impressions of GVGX so far seems to be that it's the equivalent of that one Classic-X crossover episode in the shitty Ruby Spears Mega Man Cartoon. At tops, only 5% of the people in this thread would find that simile useful.

I'm forgetting: how far apart are GV3 and iX timeline wise? I know they're different timelines, but are they both about a hundred years later?
>>568131836GV3 is decades, iX is...uh...a century or two?

>>568131836People say around 50 years. Don't know where they get this number. It's less than a hundred years though. September Record, Eden, Project Muse, Lumen, and Gunvolt the terrorist are still within common memory.
>>568131836>>568132692iX is a century after GV1. GV3 is an unspecified amount of decades (plural) later after GV2.
Thoughts on iX3? I think it looks pretty damn fun so far.
>>568134158too early to tell, could be fun
>>568134158I'm actually interested, unlike iX2. They're going to have a GV stream soonish, but I don't know if they're going to be revealing anything more than BitSummit.Anyone know the release date for GX, by the way? They had a demo up, so they look like they're far along the development process.
>the schizos who said we'd be getting mainline and iX content for BitSummit a month ago turned out to be rightI guess when you keep putting quarters in, sometimes you win something.
Those 20 seconds sure did look promising. Copen's gameplay doesn't look as schizo as he did in iX2 and the Steam page insinuates some grander customization options for how Copen plays and that sounds like it has some potential. Seems to be a more ambitious game than both iX and iX2, though we know next to nothing about it as of yet. Mystery girl comes to warn about mystery nigga, that's all they told us.
>>568134760>They had a demo up, so they look like they're far along the development process. They have a lot of polishing and VA work to do. I'm guessing a late August or early September release for the Switch. That's the window that INTI likes to hit for their short Summer announce-to-release cycle. They also said they wanted to release by the end of the year. As for other platforms like Steam, they may need to wait until December.
>>568134760No date, though they aimed to release it in 2026. Not necessarily a good sign with Inti however, might as well have said Coming Soon™
>>568135537No, that's normal. They didn't have an exact release date for GV1, GV2, or iX's reveal: https://youtu.be/0BHtf6essqQhttps://youtu.be/xFTllwEYGbIhttps://youtu.be/NETEc3R7bwgand who could forget GV3?https://youtu.be/MZjYTwG2_mI

That said, I wouldn’t mind if we just completely tossed all that aside. The scenario alone is already absolutely perfect.I was thinking about the above more, and a lot of people were rightfully freaked out by it in the last thread, but I believe what they were actually talking about was the Luxia plot thread where she's searching for Gunvolt's Lumen for undisclosed but highly important reasons. It's hinted at in Epilogue ATEMS, then introduced in Mirage Party and Cychronicle. If INTI cuts this plot thread, it's not that big of a deal as most players don't know about it and the scenario they already have planned is "absolutely perfect" as is.

What's the story behind Zed and little Grazie here?
I'm just glad we're finally getting the REAL Gunvolt 3.About damn time too.
>>568156270Probably when she was one of the 7 dwarves. >>568156354It's a sequel, anon.
>>568156270Eden Grazie.
>>568156463>>568156574You mean back when she was traumatized from Gunvolt and seeking revenge? She seems too cute for that.

>>568157048I'm happy they changed that, because was completely out of character for Gunvolt to be killing a bunch of ~5 year olds. Even if they had powers, it's pretty outrageous for him.>>568157265Real Takeuchi looking design.
>>568157563Type-Moon Takeuchi? I could see it. I was thinking that one fire guy from...uh...Genshin Impact, I think.
what we need is Zed 2
>>568157048>>568156842Grazie going berserk in her fights always seemed like it came out of nowhere to me, but thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense as a holdover from Eden Grazie. INTI just never bothered to change that aspect of her characterization.
>>568158043We already have Zed Omega. There's nowhere to go next. Also, listening to Zed's battle theme a little while ago got me to finally replay and actually finish La Mulana 2. So thanks for that, Zed.
>>568157808>Type-Moon Takeuchi? I could see it.Yeah. I was looking at the black haired design on the mid left.
>>568156463>It's a sequelIt's the Gunvolt 3 we should've gotten, Gunvolt & Copen fixing up this clown ass bitch world. Probably will also be the finale as Tsuda is heading into retirement and likely will be his final involvement with what is rightfully *his* series.Luckily iX can and should stand on its own legs, I hope they take the opportunity to expand that world more now that they've had 4-5 years to brainstorm it.

>>568159227>you're getting a sidestory about as relevant as that Crychronicle drama CD wasSo like the base story of GV3?This will be the final wrap up of both Xiao and the necklace. There won't be anything afterwards as Tsuda was the sculptor of all the background lore and worldbuilding of the series. They'll retire Gunvolt at the same time as him out of some Asian gesture of respect for him & his brainchild. And frankly, there is no better way to end it than with GV and Copen teaming up.
>>568158432>iX can and should stand on its own legsAs a spinoff that only exists as a way to say "Holy shit guys, we have no idea what to do with the next entry so here's something to hold you over," no it cannot. The more it loses its connection to the main series, the less interesting it is. No amount of nice robotits can change that.
>>568160034What robotits? iX2 is not a real released video game.
>>568159934I don't want that.
>>568158432I don't think that it can unless iX3 really sells something of that edge that made iX1 and GV2 and 1 so good.
>>568160361Well I didn't want the GV3 we got either.
>>568159934>And frankly, there is no better way to end it than with GV and Copen teaming up.The conditions of this team up are complete garbage, not the Copen most people care about and both seem to have partial amnesia, if this is the end it's just as bad as the original ending in GV3.
>>568146048She also dances like this.
>>568159934It's either wrapping everything up or sequel baiting hard. I'm leaning towards sequel baiting, because if they wanted a send-off for Tsuda, they'd do a full game with a lot of fanfare. Natsume got fucking Majogami as his sendoff. I'm not saying Tsuda is going to get the same resources, especially because Majogami was a financial disaster, but he's going to get a bit more than just a DLC side project. I know we all like to be pessimistic here and assume INTI is always going to fuck everything up, so sure, there's not an insignificant chance this is it.>>568160520Only Copen has amnesia. GV might, or it could just be him having to recall memories from over 15 years ago.
>>568154865Roro mogs the other two.
>>568160361Joule finding another man?
>>568148621Designer's CommentsATMEMS Knights are based on the Four Great Spirits. I divided the motifs between the first and second halves because I thought it would be strange to have a unified motif when the origins and factions are different. Conversely, going in completely different directions would lose the sense of unity, which also felt wrong. So, I wrapped them loosely in a tarot card... something like that. Sistina was quite difficult to create, as both the Wheel of Fortune and Sylphide were vague motifs with little clear imagery, making her the last of the bosses to be designed. The idea is that the wind she absorbs accumulates in the cylinder and becomes wings. The insect wings are inspired by fairies, and I think they make a nice accent, different from the previous characters. Since she's the sexy one, a distinctive feature is the minimal gray suit. The pre-transformation design is largely the same as when I drew her as a dealer, but I adjusted the level of exposure and other details when the character transformed into a seductive woman.(Munehiro Araki)
>>568160364I don't think the series are incapable of growth. Both releases were rushed assuming GV3 would be done within roughly the same year of production. iX3 just has to be a more substantial game.
>>568160881>Can we get some of that Gunvolt edge back >Gal Gun ends up with what might be the most bloody conflict (at least on screen) an IntiCreates game ever had.
>>568160801Can't find another man if you're dead.
>>568160771Factually incorrect.
>>568160675>It's either wrapping everything up or sequel baiting hard. I'm leaning towards sequel baiting, because if they wanted a send-off for Tsuda, they'd do a full game with a lot of fanfare.I think this is wishful thinking, it'd also warrant that Tsuda actually had enough ideas to warrant a full fledged game. And seeing how it took him 5 years to make the last one, a well designed DLC for the definitive-collectors-directors edition is likely all that's left. To Tsuda the ending of GV3 was perfect, this dlc is probably just a loveletter addressing the things the fans have been wanting to see.
>>568159541Well she IS an adept. That's what they do.
>>568117860At least get new genie butts. There's a new batch every week...I wish the rest of the girls here could say that too.
>>568161246> this dlc is probably just a loveletter addressing the things the fans have been wanting to seeSo basically him proving once again that he's as tone deaf as ever. This is not going to be the great sendoff he thinks its going to be (again) but rather another story blasting season if this actually ends up being the definitive end.
>>568157563>>568157808It's the rhinoface all GV characters suffer from.
>>568161648I'll take it. Revert it all back and show me a pregnant Mytyl with GV and Copen being brothers in law within the wallpaper timeline. Then I can finally get some closure and put this series behind me.
>>568161246Maybe. Aside from the DLC stuff, the fact that the DLC's story is the result of an ongoing conflict that is happening outside of it (GV is trapped in the time prison because he was fighting somebody) again points to it just being a side story in something else, not the conclusion. But 8 levels + the special levels is enough of a game to do a lot of story-ing. So it can go either way.
>>568161865It's adorable that you think that's actually going to happen.
>>568161246Perfect ending? They patched GV3's ending a few months after release to bait a sequel. They baited it again in ATEMS. They've also been sequel baiting in Cychronicle with the Luxia subplot, and that was released last year. This is probably going to be more edging.
>>568162420>Cychronicle>last yearAnon....I'm afraid it's been......two years.
>>568162510I'm going senile.
>>568160801That'd be fine.
Yeah, Inti is going to let their flagship franchise end of out of "respect." Yep. That's a real thing people do.
>>568162807>GVGX is the final gameBrought to you by the same people who said that Epilogue ATEMS was the grand finale of the series.
>>568162807Not exactly out of respect.
>>568162420You do realize an open ending doesn't necessarily ensure a sequel, right? Not just because some spinoffs use it as an excuse plot either.GVGX is literally titled "the dystopian opera's final act", at some point you people gotta stop coping and let go.
>>568163224Yeah and they called iX1+2 "all the elements of the series converge here" for the japanese tagline, then proceeded to announce iX3 before that even launched. Inti's word has about as much value as iX2 has as a videogame.
>>568162839Tsuda is not just some director, he's like vice president of the company or something. Even if he wanted the series to continue without him, there still has to be some poor sod willing to take responsibility for it. And in asia that's a question of honour and 'losing face' if shit flies south. The same kind of mentality that left Megaman's project lead chair vacant for years on end. No one wants that kind of responsibility.
>>568162807It is.
>>568163224Open? Gunvolt is still going to destroy the world. The problem was not resolved. The solution has not been found. He was vaguely told that by befriending his enemies, he might be able to cobble something together. How does he befriend his enemies? We don't know. What is the solution? No clue. There are still plenty of extant questions. Cychronicle adds more, with Luxia on a secret mission to find Lumen for important and mysterious reasons. Now GVGX introduces an unknown enemy who can manipulate time who basically defeated Gunvolt until a freak accident sent an alternate dimension Copen into GV's time prison. So another huge mystery to the pile. Also, you could say that yes, this concludes this portion of the story in the Gibbs timeline. It doesn't conclude the overall story. If they did conclude the story here, then fuck them.
>>568163508iX has never claimed an air of finality in quite the same vein. Even iX3 didn't give us THE FAINARU EKUSU which probably already implies iX4.
>>568162807They probably would've if any of their other attempts at new IPs hadn't failed miserably, most of their employees want to make 2d action games so they can't exactly just make CeC the new flagship.
>>568162807>inb4 the gaze of /mmg/ falls upon you
>>568164026I'm sorry anon, but you are coping. You sound really emotional, almost hysterical, about this. Stop and breath, in and out, then think about it rationally.
>>568164026You should lower your expectations because Inti's storytelling has never been perfect. The sooner you accept that you're not going to get all those questions answered in any satisfying manner, the better. With a single flush of the pen they could have GV brush aside all your questions with a simple "year I just did it differently :)" and i'm totally expecting them to do just that. I wouldn't even be mad, but I'm also at the stage where I just want a conclusion that is good enough.
>>568164268>rational decisions>Inti CreatesNTA but come on, complete lack of rationality is what even spawned the situation that devolved into GX being a thing to begin with.
>>568162807I mean...they have done that before.
>>568164529Have you seen how their devs talk?
>>568164502If we expect nothing from them, then we will get nothing. If I assume the worst, then I wouldn't even be in this thread. I would assume that INTI would go under before the game releases, or their studio catches fire.
>>568164634Yes they're certifiably insane.
>>568164856You can expect a game that's a coin toss in the fun department with retarded characters and story that they clearly do not give a shit about.
>>568164856>If we expect nothing from them, then we will get nothingLOL good shit, seeing as this comes in the wake of years of aggressively mediocre games.
Japs are more hyped for GX and iX3 than we are. We'll see which way the wind is blowing with the upcoming livestreams.
>>568165174Well they also got to play the demo. The rest of us have yet to wash out the taste of dog dick.
>>568165174I wonder how much of that is due to the protagonist of the last game they made not having a poor reception over there so they're not in such a huge downer streak as we are.
>>568165127I have more faith in Capcom at this point than INTI. Dual Override looks to be a by the numbers Mega Man game, but it will blow the fuck out of everything INTI has produced in the past 10 years.
>>568165174I'm hyped for iX3. But there's no way in hell to rape the pooch.
>>568159227>Connect iX backlashcan anyoen explain?
>>568164589That was the opposite of respect. They were sick of making games starring Zero so they killed him off.
>>568165174I'm ready for more Copenkino but it's far away still
>>568149438I love this pick
>>568165474It being a pretty barebones update with only 5 levels and no dialogue.
>>568165474Playable Copen was shown as part of the Trilogy Enhanced trailer and for many it was an excuse to buy it, but in classic inti fashion it was just footage from testing that they didn't actually intend to implement. It took them 8-9 months from announcing it to releasing iX mode, and in the meanwhile people were hyping up what kind of EX weapons there'd be or maybe he'd an Arc Chain.Release date came and what people thought might be something, turned out to be nothing. Nothing? Nothing. They removed his EMPTY but that was pretty much just it.Needless to say, people weren't impressed.
>>568165391i dont see anyone talking about this but that shadowrock guy posted an interview with some comic loser and he essentially said dual override would be out and another mega man game would be announced before the convention scam thing being funded in kickstarter (so before summer 2027) and that a "storm is coming" in regards to future mega man developments. wonder if capcom sanctioned this hype or not.
>>568164268https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8MZBUoQt68
>>568165391Capcom gets hate and a lot of it is warranted, but they still know how to make pretty fucking good games. Inti has had a hard time even nailing something as basic as 2d action, which they should have 30 years of experience in.
>>568165362Kirin was the only likable protagonist until GV got character development, so they latched onto her. We don't get hit with it as hard thanks to the translation making GV to be more like a classic action hero and his enemies more blatantly evil, to the point some of them like Teseo and Zonda admit to being evil villains. You feel better about the violence he is committing. I see Japanese comments calling GV "pathetic" and a failure, whereas over here, people largely think he's cool and heroic. Therefor, Kirin gets a much cooler reception, especially when she shows up GV, or forces him into uncomfortable situations.
>>568166372Kirin is also attached to a bad story, but I don't blame her or the other characters for that. GV3's cast is pretty good, despite the plot being messy. That happens more often than you think in games.
>>568166292>but they still know how to make pretty fucking good gamesYeah, like the Mega Man Zero and ZX series!>>568166372Feels good to be in tune with the nips.
>>568166372I think it's simpler than that actually, Kirin's Sumeragi apologism is just your standard japanese corporate dickriding so it's "normal" for them, leading to a better reception overall.
>>568166695Some of those games released before the people posting here even existed. Inti is just not the same developee that it was back then.
>>568166372what about ix copen?
>>568166878Kirin is just personable and well-adjusted. That's it. Her ideals or morals don't matter. With Gunvolt, you get a lot of baggage thanks to Asimov. He also kills the majority of the cast off, many of them who are cute/attractive/likable, without showing any pity or remorse, and fails to save the girl in the end. Mika, a similar character from Gundam, wasn't very popular either, and he was killing people who were less likable or pitiable than Gunvolt antagonists.
>>568166878Is sumeragi in gv3 different from sumeragi in gv1?
>>568166372You sound like you're from a parallel universe, I rarely ever see a single person - jap or otherwise - be thrilled about Kirin beyond what could be coomed to. This general is legitimately the only place with some regular miko slurpers.I've seen more japs be thrilled with Copen, for better or worse, and thats in spite of being a flawed hatefilled mong, with many of them even acknowledging that his way of thinking is logically sound. Now that same sentiment would warrant some endless Edenfag butthurt in this general.
>>568167405He does get a lot of art. What lets him down is he doesn't have a strong support cast to play off of.>>568167580No, but Sumeragi is a collection of different factions, often times fighting against each other, ranging from okay to the most evil people in the setting. Like in GalGun, the Sumeragi rep is unambiguously good, and trying to save the world.
>>568167614You're sound like the guy in the last thread who said that 8-4's characterization was the correct one for Zonda, and the one that all the Japs agreed with.
>>568167614lol, we had a longish 2ch thread linked a couple of threads ago where many of the posts were Kirinfagging. you're letting you're hate for her cloud you're judgment.
>>568167556>He also kills the majority of the cast offThat's like saying any of the Mavericks you mow down in Mega Man were ever "part of the cast." Gunvolt did itself such a disservice trying to "humanize" the monsters who are just there for you to get a high score from killing.
>>568168240NTA, link?
>>568168441one of em:https://tsumanne.net/si/data/2026/05/22/10652119/
>>568168017Based on what?>>568168240Hate is a strong word. I don't particularly care for Kirin, I don't see why anyone would, but I don't hate her. I hate Gunvolt 3 though. Also, 2ch doesn't reflect the entire japanese fanbase and I don't know what spicy memes they have either in form of Kirinposting. I only know what I see from twitter conversations.
>>568167614>This general is legitimately the only place with some regular miko slurpers. For as major of a character as she is, Kirin barely gets posted because it fucks up the general. When people like her, it's just "she's okay." Nobody religiously likes her like Gibril, Zonda, Elise, or Joule. But the people who hate her really hate her. I barely ever see Kirin brought up here, other than to shit on her. I don't really care about her myself. She's a fun character to play, and her design is okay, but aside from that, there's not a lot to talk about. Somebody brought up how Japanese like Kirin, and then we get you saying that Japanese actually despise her except to fap. Most of the pictures I see of her are not porn though, just regular art.
>>568168269>Gunvolt did itself such a disservice trying to "humanize" the monsters who are just there for you to get a high score from killing.I think the audio dramas are most to blame. It's so fucking strange to invalidate your own main character's acts after the fact and handing out a moral license to the villains. There's not a single doubt that Nova and Eden has to be stopped, it's just these fucking CDs being such a headache.
It comes full circle to Fleeting Memories
>>568169598Even in the games you get the "hey, this doesn't feel like the right way of stopping them" then he stomps down on it, or "I can't look back/second guess myself, just got to keep moving forward" bits.
>>568169415>She's a fun character to play, and her design is okay, but aside from that, there's not a lot to talk about.I like Kirin, but this is true. She's a pretty basic bitch, and I like basic bitches, but it doesn't leave much to say beyond fanfic stuff.
>>568169415>But the people who hate her really hate her.Granted, she is synonymous with the most divisive game in the series barring ix2, and a lot of the writing issues of the game can be attributed to her solely.>then we get you saying that Japanese actually despise her except to fapIs there any particular reason why you feel the need to add extras to what I said? I said I never see anyone be thrilled. Basically "eh, she's okay" as you said yourself.A lot of her art is by Lotton, same as most of Roro is Cougar. We don't have to be coy.

>>568169852Back in GV2, he had flipped to "Sumeragi weren't that bad, adepts are the true enemies of peace." It's not like the audio CDs were the only things showing GV was an unreliable narrator.
>>568169927True. Even when they have other characters telling her her life is empty and she needs to find something outside of her duties, the story doesn't do anything with it. It's not enough to just point at something and then move on.
>>568170452It'd be funny if Kirin just canonically decided to hunt her Wanvolt down across time and space as her thing, since her life is empty anyway. Like what Lyn became in Fire Emblem.
>>568170183We've been over this. Le OC fanfic girl with no flaws from the secret mountain ninja clan that is actually equal to Sumeragi and who has has a free get-out-of-jail card that guarantees she doesn't ever have to kill or do anything wrong ever as she bosses around the old main character and even the antagonist. We've been over this countless times, she's a mary sue and her mere existence flips the entire narrative tone on its head.

>>568168269You know, it's funny you mention that, one of my biggest complaints with MMX is how alleged wannabe-pacifist moralizer X never hesitates to blow away these Mavericks who, mostly, are acting under mind control. In the case of X1 they're even former comrades and co-workers. Brother ices them without any attempt to talk them down, never attempts to rebuild them the way Rock does for the Robot Masters, and then proceeds to whine about how much he hates violence at the end of the game. What a bitch!
>>568170668Going off of the spinoff games, GV doesn't have to kill either, he just chooses to. His powers can be used nonlethally. We'll see how it plays out in GVGX.
>spoilerering wrong
>>568172509>ices them without any attempt to talk them downHe does so in MHX. It's a consequence of the SNES games lacking much story presentation.
>>568172509You can think of the maverick virus as demonic possession. They were basically dead once the infection set in. What you're fighting is something wearing their chassis.
>>568171931How many adepts have art of them in modest adept wedding dresses now?
>>568172767>Zero
>>568172509When x7 turned him into that everyone fucking hated it with a passion and for good reason.X is a staunch defender who doesn't think twice about acting when innocent lives are on the line. He can lament about having to kill his own kind afterwards, then keep searching for a way towards eternal peace for all.
>>568172893Zero was the opposite of that. He was a husk after the virus left him to infect Sigma. He built up his personality after.
>>568172094So they wanted or not to make more Zero?
>>568172872>Kirin>Roro>Gibril
Copen is an ass.
>>568173719Not but then they saw that they needed money so they had to pull something like Zero out their ass.
>>568172872It would be funny to see Quinn wearing one and totally mogging them all, even as she tries to hide her obvious embarrassment.
Zonda will be the enemy muse replacing Layla for GX, and the 130 cm prophecy shall be complete.
>>568175009Dream on
>>568174414So you just shoot down your own argument.
>>568175009They'll either disable or replace Luxia. With the way the Cyber Djinn works, it doesn't make any sense for GX. But if they do replace her, it's going to be a brand-new 130 cm behind her, and you'll have Brazillian Miku as the projection.Although Zonda would be cool. They could even keep the CD theme going (cyber dreamer, song of dreamer, etc.)
>>568173857Gibril's dress is official art? Thanks for answering either way, though.
>>568175314Except I didn't. They wanted out but the money calling was too strong so they had to pull something out of their ass.
>>568175474Why wouldn't Zonda be a good villain muse for someone like Xiao? Wouldn't the Dreamer/Wonderland theme be good for a muse? Why would a brand new 130 cm be better? We have 2 to pick from as is.
>>568172509The Mavericks in X1 rebelled out of their own will or for personal motives, and the X2 ones were part of the remnants of Sigma's army so they also were not controlled.X3 is when the virus takes over others, and the promise of a cure for it becomes ambiguous, as Dopler seems to have made a true one in the end but this point gets dropped in the future anyway. In any case he had to kill them.>never attempts to rebuild them the way Rock does for the Robot MastersThis is because Capcom is a mess. But in universe the resurrection of Reploids is extremely illegal. This is why the only resurrections we see on screen were made by Sigma when he needs more fodder, Metal Shark Player because he was really into it, and by extension Gate.
>>568175960Xiao's trying to succeed why would you use the failure (Zonda)?
>>568176091>Metal Shark Player because he was really into it, and by extension GateAnd they were considered illegal still.
>>568174906Only Kohaku could manage that
>>568175960Because Zonda is a lot harder to work with story wise. She's an actual character with motivations, backgrounds, personality, tons of connections, etc. She's very important to the setting. Pulling her to be a muse changes A LOT. To a lesser degree, the same applies to Mytyl. Therefor, it's going to be some OC they pull out of their ass, even though muse compatibility is supposed to be extremely rare, and she's going to have none of the things that make Mytyl or Zonda difficult to work with (and thus interesting). She's going to be a nothingburger character like Layla who comes out nowhere with no history or personality.
>>568175009Zonda should be the next one to wear the modest wedding dress
>>568167556>He also kills the majority of the cast off, many of them who are cute/attractive/likableI’m sorry, who are the likable ones? Being complicit in mass hypnotism/slavery aside, let’s go over their personalities:>MerakHis personality is that he’s a slacker. That’s it. Oh, and he also floods his own sub which kills his own henchmen to try and kill GV. Not the peak of empathy bait there>ViperJoule ryona fetishist. Kinda based but not very sympathetic either>CarreraThe samurai guy. Found him cool but I didn’t really pity him>EliseGunvolt didn’t kill her on sight iirc. He tried to help her(had a whole cg and everything) and only retaliated when she had a split personality meltdown and switched to kill mode>StratosLegitimately the only sympathetic one. Was experimented on until he went mad and was put out of his misery.>ZondaFuck Zonda.>JotaSoldier high on sumeragi fumes. Nothing much interesting there>NovaAverage “I must kill one to save many” tragic scientist guy. Kinda eh. Gunvolt cocksucking him in the dlc 3 fight was super cringe though.Honestly the only boss in GV1 I had a super positive memory with was Asimov. Dueling him in a battle of EM fields was super cool.
>>568176103Xiao manipulated her and everyone else to fail. Under that logic, he'd use nobody.
X1, X2, X4, X7, X8 - No VirusX3, X5 - VirusX6 - Yes and NoIs that correct?
>>568177226I don't remember what happened in X7 but otherwise yeah. X6 is just another virus but still based on the original one. Also Xtreme 1 and 2 enter the no virus category.
>>568177226technically virus shows up at the end of x2I'm less certain about x7
>>568176564People mostly mean Elise as far as the Sumeragi Adepts go desu
>>568177459The only thing you should offer Elise is the mercy of death, because her life was over the second they fucked her brain/septima/soul up as much as they did
>>568177587I don't believe that.
>>568176564People incorporate the side material shit. First, there's the fact that weaponization fucks with adepts, but it's the only way most of them can keep up with GV. If they don't weaponize, Gunvolt will kill them:宝剣で変身すると... トランスというのかな...気分はやたら高揚するというか...そんな風にならないかい? 上は否定しているけど...まるで...自分のエゴは剥き出しになるみたいで...あの感覚はどうも苦手だね.>Nova: When you transform using the Glaive—I suppose you could call it a "trance"?—Or you could say it's.. incredibly euphoric? Don't you feel the same? The brass deny it, but... it feels almost as if... your ego is laid completely bare. Fuh, I really hate that sensation.-Justice RageSecond, if you restricted GV to just when he was "on the job," while following one of the more sympathetic badguys around, GV would come off as pretty psychotic. For instance, Jota is actually one of the nicer guys when not dealing with GV. He has a soft spot for kids. He pulled his punches against Gibril and didn't take the kill shot against her when he had a chance, just tiring her out instead. Gibril ended up not finishing him off later when she got control of his blood.Viper is fucked up because the muse song screwed with his head. Outside of Joule he's not that bad. He's a punk, but he never kills anyone in his backstory. He fights a ton, but everyone survives without serious injury. You're about right with Nova. He actually hates project muse and hurting people, but doesn't see a better way. He has huge abandonment issues as well from being a science experiment orphan. He's a pretty sad character, which is probably why GV3 treats him nicely.
>>568177226X7 was sort of virus related, unless Sigma actually brainwashed the Red Alert members without the help of the virus.
>>568177896If it's not in the games, I don't care.
>>568178094He just had a coin on a string.
>>568177459Sometimes they stretch it to Nova.
>>568178201t. Gunvolt
>>568178201Gunvolt team are such blubbering babies. Did they really think their super speshul OCs weren't going to be killed? Either the director was an utter fool who never told them they were making slightly fancier boss characters or the team was on drugs.
The problem lies in the disconnect between what we as players get to learn, and what GV learns during the games. To him, they're basically just crazy niggas for the most part.To us they're only somewhat crazy niggas.
>>568175960Mytyl would be the most obvious as he's the one who gave her the pendant.
>>568179084But we also see GV as a bit of a crazy nigga too.
>>568177226Well, according to Zero, the virus was a thing from all the way from 2 to the elf wars.
>>568178201Then stop talking about the lore.
>>568179126Sure, in the joke ending. Mytyl would probably be the one who ultimately gets the pendant by the end, but not before Xiao "uses" it for whatever. Lot of issues with Mytyl. First, he'd have to convince Mytyl to be his Muse. Probably not that hard up to a point. Xiao is supposed to be a master manipulator. Once he starts getting into iffy stuff, that's when Mytyl becomes difficult. He'd have to get around Copen and Nori too. That would be a hassle and it may antagonize Mytyl. From a meta perspective, giving Mytyl the pendant would just get you something similar to Lumen or Lola. Less attractive. They'd probably go with somebody completely new.
>>568176564>>Zonda>Fuck Zonda.Yes, but not in the way the games did
>>568179084The joys of unreliable narrators. I think the other thing is that fighting tends to bring out the worst in people. When you read up on these characters in the side stories, they're not in a situation that has gone FUBAR fighting for their lives.
>>568177756Whatever was done to her seems irreversible, and to unfuck her situation you'd likely need the specific scientists that experimented on her, all of whom she killed. Number 2 is dangerous and uncontrollable, and was probably released by Nova as a desperate move. She'd turn the whole world into a zombie apocalypse if not stopped, and stated their intention to do so. (Because if everyone is a monster, no one will ever call her one again.)
>>568179724the asshole here, I’d fuck Zonda, no doubt. I just hate her
>>568177896Nova is cute when not antagonizing GV though.
>>568180338People always show the Sumeragi Seven as if they're all on one team when they served under different departments. Only Jota and Merak directly served under Nova. This is why Carerra and Zonda have different uniforms from the rest of them, by the way.
>>568180103I'd like to see an iX game where Cope has to go an apocalypse world where Elise was given mercy and she repaid it with waves of zombies
>>568180234What did Alice do to piss you off?
>>568178959You could tell that the enthusiasm for character development had dropped significantly after GV2. GV3 had characters designed and written the same way as GV1 and GV2, and the staff proposals were basically two sentence long concepts and backstories rather than the paragraphs you got from Sumeragi or Eden.
>>568177896>People incorporate the side material shitHonestly this just seems really stupid and inefficient. If inti wanted gunvolt to have more nuance they should have shown me the sympathy bait before having the bosses draw their swords. Otherwise they just become one note. I didn't even know there were voice dramas so that really doesn't help.Reminds me of Alicesoft and putting pretty important Rance lore details in artbooks instead of actually communicating them in the games.
>>568180624Took my butterfly waifu from me.
>>568180750Don't they all have longer backstories in side materials anyway? Sistina being an escaped sex slave, for one.
>>568180792Why I think Majogami did the VN stuff better than GV was that the boss characters usually popped up multiple times, and you'd have lengthy conversations with them. You actually got to know them before killing them. Most of them were pretty horrible, even the sympathetic ones although magic fuckery was usually making them behave worse. Only two of them were actually okay people, and one of the okay ones was used as a jab at how Gunvolt treats his enemies.
>>568181337>Why I think Majogami did the VN stuff better than GV was that the boss characters usually popped up multiple timesThis. Such a damn shame majogami has no porn
>>568181337>one of the okay ones was used as a jab at how Gunvolt treats his enemies. How so?
>>568180479As the top military officer Nova can probably call them all in as needed, like with the boss rush. Also, it's funny that you can just kinda forget about Carrera if you get the normal ending.
>>568180103It's fine. She'll calm down. If Crazy Elise won't, well, 2/3 is pretty good.
>>568181462So the witch in pic >>568181337 made a deal with Aradia that if she made Apostles (paper witch servants), that Aradia would help her get her missing boyfriend back. The witch doesn't really do anything that evil, just runs a factory making Apostles. You beat her up because you want the Recarte from her, and then Maxi, your hotheaded partner, who has no clue what's happening, sweeps in and says her chuuni line about forcing the evil witch to atone in hellfire and burns her alive. So you get a pretty sad scene as she's dying where she realizes that her boyfriend hadn't abandoned her like she feared, but gave his literal heart to save her life. She'd forgotten, probably because of magic, as did many of the other witches including the main character. And as everyone is being a bit mournful or thoughtful about her death, Maxi says "Good riddance" in a cheerful tone. It was kind of funny.
>>568182769Raping all three into submission via cock and electrostimulation...
>>568181636Nova's probably a middle manager. He speaks of higher ups here >>568177896, and his official rank in lieutenant. He's head of the Defense Unit, but the Defense Unit isn't that large. It's a single battalion and three adepts. Sumeragi doesn't maintain a large active duty military force (aka the Defense Unit) because the barrier means they don't need to worry about invasions. Indeed, Nova's primary duty is defending the barrier. Instead, they seem like they put more personnel into internal security, like police forces.
>>568182769If one Elise has a desire, all of them do, even if they don't say it. The "good" Elise was just as complicit after she regained her memory.
>>568181434
>>568183087Clever way of getting around the "Japan can't maintain a military" pact; just have a private company handle it for you. I wonder if Burgerland is even relevant in GVerse.
>>568183093I don't believe that either. And regardless, she could be calmed down.
>>568183772Pray that Elise shows up in GVGX as an ally.

>>568181434Yeahh, they were made for it but got none.
>>568183863You can go into Cafe Elise in GX. She starts screaming at the sight of Gunvolt and doesn't stop. There is no further interaction.
Somebody last thread asked for an example of Japanons having a moral argument over Gunvolt, well here's an example I found from 2ch:JAnon01>率直に言って、スメラギは解体されるべきだ。
>>568185675What the fuck is wrong with Gunvolt that it makes fags the world over do this? Many of the same arguments too, though I do see some new ones.
>>568185965Why are you so baffled by people talking about a series they like? Seriously, why?
>>568184538it's clearly a getter reference though
>>568185675>If I were a GV, I would eliminate my enemies without hesitation, regardless of their age or gender.Based
>>568185675Honestly really solid points. Sumeragi has no moral high ground other than it's influence over national security and I don't understand why this general thinks that a few audio drama sob stories completely unjustifies Gunvolt's actions>inb4 "he enjoys killing people."
>>568190405He does enjoy killing people though
>>568190880And is that wrong? The people he is fighting are pure evil. Even the 11 year old deserves to die.
>>568190405Nobody here defends Sumeragi.
>>568190405GV isn't wrong to kill them, but people get upset when he reacts casually after killing a character they liked or sympathized with. Like he'll kill Elise, and then be chatting casually with Xeno like it's not a big deal afterward. People say he's satisfied at killing adepts, but outside maybe Teseo and Zonda, it's typically more a mission complete type of satisfaction because he's already moved on from the killing, as he doesn't see any value in their life and sees them as absolute evil. For comparison, in Majogami, you kill some literal kids who have been magically brainwashed into being evil and destructive, but you never get angry with Shiroha because she's upset about having to do it too. She sees them as victims as much as they're villains.
Did Bokura no Kingdom really flop that bad?

>>568196632That's cool and all but it doesn't stop your split thread from being any less of a flop.
>>568200226They've also said that the series has come to a close. And sure, from a narrative standpoint, Gunvolt 3 is a very weird place to end the series. And while GV2 didn't intend to, it DID leave a bunch of loose plot threads and unanswered questions that GV3 just didn't attempt to address in any way.If I were Inti I'd remove the canonical status of GV3 and just treat it as a spinoff, that's what it feels like. It had even less to do with the world we know than both iX games combined.

>>568212610Here's the rundown. Majogami as a project had existed on the backburner since, like, 2018 or something along those lines. Most of the assets were made personally by Natsume and he pulled some strings with other employees in order to get help with its development. Then sometime after the release of the iX2 Jason DLC the guy finally snapped and revealed some things on his twitter. Namely that he's;Mad at management (Aizu/Tsuda/maybe others) for allowing GV3 to get a similar gameplay concept after Majogami was already proposed.Mad at Miyazawa for being GV3's action director and "copying" him.Mad at his section chief boss for not giving him the requested personnel to help make Majogami years ago.Mad at Tai for coming up with the schizo iX2/BMZ crossover lore.Mad over how one time some junior artist was left with no work to do so Natsume approached him to help with Majogami.Mad over the twitter icon getting changed to Gunvolt for its 11th anniversary for a few days.Mad over management talking about assumedly low pre-orders for his project. And him being mad at Miyazawa is likely why we haven't had any Curse of the Moon development, since Miyazawa is director of that and Natsume is the artist. All in all he was acting like a lolcow for surprisingly inane reasons and just kept going. I think he got a stern talking to sometime later when someone made Aizu or whomever aware of his endless sperging.

The only thing it does is make GV look a bit like a hypocrite. Ironically, Copen fights against more nonadept forces out to murder adepts than Gunvolt does (iX2 and iX3).>monstrous formHalf the times, it's sexier.
>>568209193>I think its more Inti's reluctance to ever have normal humans get killed on-screen due to age ratings.>can't deal with a bunch of old farts who are actually making the world shit>can kill a bunch of teens who are following their orders or lashing out at the above>CERO and ESBR are somehow more okay with this
>>568225114>I think even all the grunts you kill are supposed to be adepts.eden grunts yeah. their powers are so weak a gun makes them an actual threat
>>568226091>>can't deal with a bunch of old farts who are actually making the world shitbecause that'd imply a solution, and corporate japan is somehow worse than america in even acknowleding it. See persona 5 and their themes of "Rebellion"
>>568226250>>568226091I mean, Copen does it in his games. GV just sucks at the hero stuff.
>>568226469no one copen kills are old farts except asimov
>>568226569But he goes after some of the elites, and he kills the CEO king of Sumeragi. I guess it's okay there because Asimov is an adept. Also, isn't Lola supposed to be ancient in iX2? He kills her too, and she was basically queen of the world.
>>568226091Adepts aren't human so it's good.
>>568226569Relative to GV1/GV2, a lot of iX1's cast are hags. iX2's cast are ancient too. Some of the characters are implied to be over a hundred years old.

>>568227525I can't wait until Copen gets an adept wife.
The Gunvolt "mod" posted in the last thread was a custom engine meant as a tech demo:https://xcancel.com/TomycaseM/status/2057949346801324478#m>Note : this was never meant to become a full game, just a tech demo to practice and learn new programming methods, most of them went to MMXII and later DXtreme, but it's funny to see that the concept of iX2 Copen in GV3 with ability to swap with GV ended happening for real lolhttps://xcancel.com/TomycaseM/status/2057950027754996182#m
>>568227310>If they breathe, bleed, and you can breed with themYou can do the same with monster girls. Doesn't make them human.
>>568228152When will Inti and Capom Hire This Man?

We got new songs in ATEMS. Will we get new songs in GX?
>>568236460Why not. It seems like they are putting some real value.
>>568236460They might introduce the final muse. We'll know if she exists when they show off the physical bonuses, probably around next month. There seems to be more excitement at INTI over this than the ATEMS DLC, at least.
>>5682364604 new songs that just ends with Lola's being the worse of the bunch as usual.
>>568238317Kek, literally.Like I don't understand why some anons have such a hard on for a new muse. We can't even get good songs for the ones we already do have. And the only decent ones we have are all Lumen songs from GV1.
>>568239009Because they're high on hopium. It's pathetic and sad. They're the ultimate losers. Everyone can smell the desperation from INTI and the shit that iX3 and GX will be. It will finally kill Gunvolt once and for all.
>>568239009Luxia's were pretty good too. Lola's for whatever reason are mostly mid to crap.
>>568241119She had some goat stuff in iX1.iX2 can eat three bags of dicks though.
>>568239009New muse because of pattern recognition. If the antagonist is Xiao, and he's a "cardinal guardian," people will expect him to have a singing fairy because the other three did. However, Kirin broke the trend already if you consider her a guardian. Every new main GV game has had a new muse too, so people are open to the possibility. >inb4 INTI are retarded so can't be predicted unless it's doing the most retarded thing possible>>568241637Would have been better if they had just reLolafied some of the GV2 tracks.
>>568241637One good one which is why I said mostly. The ironic part is that the only good one is when she's pretty much being schizo.
>>568241893Also, to add, I don't think there will be a new muse in GX, but I don't think it's a 0% chance. What I think is you'll get some Lumen/Lola duets, like Indigo Destiny.
>>568241893>inb4 INTI are retardedThat and they're broke as fuck.
>>568242119Are we getting a repeat of GV2's ending fight for GX?
What is Inti's most profitable game?
>>568242029Searchlight is pretty good itself. Other stuff like Igniter and such are also good and fit the action. iX2 itself just seems to be the soundtrack to some slice of life isekai with no stakes.
>>568242585Cross collab projects. Basically, games where bigger studios loan out IPs to independent devs to do their thing. The issue is that those are becoming rarer as the industry consolidates into monopolies. Aside from that, Gunvolt.
>>568239009being a contrarian nigger doesn't make you cool
>>568241893>KirinKirin is in a special place since she's the central ruling Guardian, and thus is not centered by a star/muse. Instead, she'd own/borrow all the other muses, if this is anything like the Asian myth bullshit, which it sometimes is and often isn't.

https://youtu.be/AdXBG0xZnwc?t=3115>So of course, as is Gunvolt tradition, this new story mode will include live novel dialogue as well as conversation events back at your base.GV, Copen, Lola, and Lumen casual convos sound like a hoot. I wonder if they'll throw in any other characters into the mix.
>>568241893Sure, but you guys seem more than a little excited for the prospect of a new muse. It has practically controlled the discourse the last few weeks, if not months. I just don't understand why you'd even care, I'm excited for iX3 but just the idea that I'll have to sit and listen to more of Roro's shitty songs and caterwauling already makes me lose motivation.
>>568238317>>568241119>T. Adept who don't like how close to home Lolass song hit him
>>568245017>lolnoass>having songs that hit anywhere but a garbage bin
>>568244941Agree. Felt like I was one of the few on here who couldn't stand the shitty jpop playing over stage BGMs.
>>568244714Nova, Gibril, Zonda, or ZED would probably be the funniest people to throw into that group.
>>568245391"Get your filthy adept hands away from my minos song" is still the best country song to this day.
>>568245528I don't mind Lumen's songs as much, they're less hectic and Megu is by far the better singer and has a much gentler voice. And as far as quality goes, they're by far the better produced songs. At least when compared to the absolute burning garbage that we get with Roro.
>>568245528Oh no, I'm with you there. I like a lot of the idol songs, but I like the regular music more and don't like how the former replaces the latter when you do good. A big part of it is that the idol songs are interchangeable. There's not a different song for every stage, it just grabs one of a half-dozen songs and plays it, which means when you git gud the music gets really samey. Ideally they should have done something like the boss tracks in Metal Gear Rising. Have an instrumental and lyric versioned of every track, the latter kicking in when you're doing good, but I understand that'd be way more idol songs than Inti could handle.
>>568246968>so schizo he has to make up songs that don't exist
>>568247129>There's not a different song for every stageEach stage originally had an assigned muse track back in GV1 and GV2. So if you were playing Stratacombs or Eridu, you'd get Rogue Shimmer every time. Likewise, if you were on Frozen City or Savior, it'd be A Flash of Azure. In rereleases, they had a shuffle system, which was carried through to later titles. I don't know why, as the old system allowed them to better control mood/tone and establish thematic connections, like a Flash of Azure being associated with Tenjian and Zonda.

>>568272984The second you get hit by anything, you lose your right to have an adept girlfriend in real life. Good luck, Anon.
>>568272984No tips, I'll just give you a few warnings before you start. The games themselves typically only give you around 50-70% of the story context, and the main character is an unreliable narrator. He will typically justify himself and go all in on destroying his enemies, only to flip-flop in the next game and be hyper critical of his past self while basically continuing to do what he was doing beforehand. People in these threads are autists who will bring in a lot of stuff from the audio dramas, short stories, or light novels mixed in with their own headcanons when talking about Gunvolt, so it can be very confusing.Second game has a bad localization that changes around a lot of the characters. Please don't come in here and shit on Zonda or Gibril with something like the attached image. We get that it's hilarious to have the cute and creepy loli be so disgustingly and chillingly evil, but that's an invention of the American script.Third game is completely divorced in tone from the first two games. It's more silly, less edgy, like it's going back to its GalGun roots. Aside from following up the main character's character arc and finally forcing him to confront his past, it's disconnected from previous games' plot. It's also the most mechanically fun Gunvolt and the one INTI dumps the most content into.
>>568274921>INTI dumps the most content into.I think with GX, it will have more script than GV1, GV2, iX1, and iX2 combined.
>>568274921>the Zonda/Gibril manifestoterrible
>>568274921How did they change around Gibril again?
>>568274921>Please don't come in here and shit on Zonda or Gibril with something like the attached image. We get that it's hilarious to have the cute and creepy loli be so disgustingly and chillingly evil, but that's an invention of the American script.nta but how did they change zonda and gibril? kinda hard to justify anything the latter did.
>>568275514>How did they change around Gibril again? They made her way less perverted and flirty. A lot of the double entendres were removed. They also made her murder of nonadept high schoolers far more petty. In the original, she was killing them because she held them responsible for the oppression and atrocities committed against adeptkind. It was still horrific and unforgivable, but you could understand her anger, and it references her behavior in the side material. In the 8-4 script, she was killing them because they were weakling hippies who looked down on her. She killed them because she was a massive bully who just liked killing and hurting people. It wasn't growing from an overwhelming outrage at the treatment that adepts had experienced.>>568275876Basically, one is a tragic monster. What she's done is unforgivable, and she has to die for it. The other is just a monster.
>>568275876>zondaI don't want to talk about it again man. We've been relitigating this for over a year now. I'll just post some examples from the wiki. It's barely comprehensive as they made so many changes, big and small. I think the worst is that they imply she doesn't actually love her brother/G7 and how everything she's doing is just for her own selfish gain, and how sadistic they made her.>There are some notable differences between the English and Japanese scripts regarding Zonda's characterization.>In the English version she has a more patronizing tone in general, even calling Gunvolt by his nickname "GV" in the final battle, which does not occur in the JP script.>The line "All that I do, I do for my own survival" has "our survival" (わたし達が生き残る) instead in the JP script.>In Copen's route, when he accuses her of thinking she's a god she states "Let's just say I'm strongly considering it". In the JP script, she claims she might consider it if that's what her comrades desire. She also addresses him as "human" in the EN script, but in the JP script uses the neutral term for non-Adepts.
>>568272984Don't start.
>>568277161is there a good list? id half expected one of you guys to go on tv tropes and list all these changes. did she ever mock the two in the double zonda fight about their loved ones?
>>5682763548-4 made Elise one of the most evil characters in GV1. They removed all dialogue about the experiments and mindfucking thus hinting that Elise had been crazy from the start. They also made normal Elise want to murder Gunvolt too.

>>568270827Take advantage of wave command cards since they are extremely easy to input now
>>568272984have fun
>>568277493We don't give a shit about TVTropes. The TVTropes article on her is hilariously schizo, because it treats Eden's Party and 8-4 as the same character. Like here's TVTropes running with the fake kid thing that 8-4 implied about her.And her projections do mock, but they're independent entities in the same way that Lumen and Luxia are independent of their adepts. As for a list, I don't know, the archive? People have written essays about this before. Almost every single line of her has been changed. Like "I will sing the world to ruin" does not exist in the Japanese version, it's just: さあ、謡精の力を宿せしミラーピースよ、我がもとへNow—Mirror Piece, imbued with the power of the Singing Fairy's power—come to my side! We'd have to go through the entire script for her line by line, it's that bad. And then there are some lines that have been completely dropped. For instance, in the Japanese script, she tells GV how living in a peaceful nation makes it difficult for him to empathize with the struggles adepts face elsewhere, yet in the English script, it gets shortened to a one line insult: "Oh GV, your innocence is almost charming..."
>>568277798GV1's translation was so horrible that INTI was forced to retranslate it in-house, so you're good there.
>>568279190Oh trust me, I know that one, goddamn.>>568279015>People have written essays about this before. yeah that.
>>568277798You just pull up the wiki scripts and read those as you play GV2. You can even use it as your "text log" if you miss some stage dialog.https://gunvolt.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:ASG2_ScriptsThey're wonky though. We're at the point where Google Translate is probably better than the fan scripts, but the wiki gives you the Japanese scripts as well. The wiki also has many of the audio dramas and short stories on it as well.
>>568279318>Oh trust me, I know that one, goddamn. You've probably seen the Desna one too, right? People say it's splitting hairs, but it's a big deal to me when one of her notable traits is that she hates the (hero) worship she gets and just wants to be treated like a normal person.
>>568279886Oh shoot thats right the colleciton has that story thing where you can just see the dialogue and htats it! how is it?
>>568279015>It's implied that she's Older Than She Looks, however. Why do you do this 8-4?>>568280042If you're talking about the Strikers Pack translations included in the Library, the translations kind of sucks. Not as bad as 8-4, as it doesn't rewrite characters, but what they're saying may be incorrect. Else, only the third game has a dialog log. GV1 and GV2 do not. If you want to read what characters are saying in battle, you're just going to have to kiss your kudos goodbye.

>>568288163>By the way, I haven't posted here in 2 years, came back to 4ch just to check on the iX3 reception, what the FUCK are these new Captchas??I'm sorry, but people are more interested in talking about XIAOZONDA and GV3.5
>>568288362That's ok, I'm into that too. I want to see if Nothing will finally become Something.
>people in fucking /inti/ of all places parroting the muh CERO bullshit in fucking 2026If you actually still think CERO has anything more than the most minute of roles in modern censorship of Japanese games and content, you are either out of touch or completely delusional. Literally Inti themselves came out and told you what killed Gal*Gun and it wasn't fucking CERO who still rate it D like they've always rated most ecchi games since the Vita days.
>>568287614>SonySo no good reason. They're cute, though.
>>568288567/pol/fags ain't smart.
>>568288567>people in fucking /inti/ of all places>of all places/inti/ is literally the first place you should expect bullshit to be said.
>>568288567How did GalGun even get popular with PewDiepie's ironic weeb fanbase? Those people ruin everything.
>>568288853I'd expect the people here to be smarter than this since Inti Creates are close to the frontline of the issue here and they are not shy about telling you where the real problems lie.
>>568289083>I'd expect the people here to be smarter than thisYour expectations were too damn high for this place.
>>568288986Ironic "weebs" will not touch Gal*Gun with a six-foot pole, it embodies literally everything they hate and consider "cringe" about Japanese games. They can't even take a basic dating sim seriously unless it has a "subversive" twist like Doki Doki Literature Club or Date an Object.
>>568289083>I'd expect the people here to be smarterlollmao
yeah niggas can't even spell
I am here for the Cial lewds.
I miss Levposting
Xiao's stuck you in his time jail. Which two Gunvolt characters do you take with you?
>>568289083I don't get how the girl in the tentacle rout is the lamest one.
>>568292064Rule # 3 of Japanese games; the childhood friend almost always sucks.
>>568292752softer

>>568289676You just wait until the main phase 1 and place a green card from your hand face up into an empty space in the spell and trap zone.
>>568290645He was brutally gunned down by the Elpizo pet last week. Now all that's left is his memory.
>>568185675It really depends if you value GV and friends personal happiness over dirty handed national security or sympathetic terrorist/Freedom fighters whose end goal is horrific genocide.Well this General likes GV to suffer so yeah they take the side of the antagonists.
>>568297195Surprisingly no one really wants to take the side of Asimov. Well he's an old man who isn't pretty after all.
>>568297195Kinda binary. People in this general fantasize about solutions that don't involve everyone dying. It's not helped by the way the overall story frames the narrative either, or that it dangles characters who look and act like standard redemption fodder in most anime in front of you. Characters who say "I hate that I'm forced to do this bad thing, but I've lost all hope and all the other options are worse." Also, most characters are victims in some way, and the people in power who fucked them up are never punished and just go about enjoying their lives and fucking up more kids. Additionally, GV in each game is like "I've sinned by killing in the past, but I'll make it up... by killing people." And GV ends up suffering anyway, making a lot of the above feel like it was less than optimal.>>568297291Don't think anyone would take Asimov's side even if he looked like Elise. We have sexy characters who people do not side with in iX.
>>568297894>And GV ends up suffering anyway, making a lot of the above feel like it was less than optimal.Because people like Nova and Zonda are fucking it up.
>>568298028How?
>>568298242Their armies are the ones who keep attacking Gunvolt to take Joule away from him. Their plans are what is endangering the world. It's those two who dragged GV into conflict, hurt him, forced him to kill. They ruined GV's life, and Zonda killed Joule in the end.
>>568293067
>>568299583Top row reminds me of shojo rivals somehow.
>>568298427>>568298028You're giving way too much credit to a Sumeragi lieutenant and figurehead miko. GV says that they're responsible for everything their organizations do, but he's an unreliable narrator. Just read any of the side stories from the villain's perspectives or play Card-en-Ciel, where he accuses Neon of being a Sumeragi cyborg assassin and tries to kill him.Not downplaying these two. They did contribute a lot to their orgs, but they're ultimately subordinate to other powers. Nova was just the guy protecting Project Muse as the most powerful adept Sumeragi had under its command. You don't even get to kill the people ordering Nova around, or who planned project Muse. As for Eden's plot, Tenjian planned and led most of that as the military leader of Eden. Zonda advised Tenjian, mostly about muse and septima matters, and was key in the ritual portions of Eden's plot (aka Mytyl, Joule, and the mirror shards).
Government mandated adept gfs for all minos males to fix the minos problem.
>>568185675This is as retarded as what I'd expect to around here. Truly it's a global community.
>no counterpoint
>>568304629If you're talking about >>568301538 , I'm not taking a side. I think the argument itself is stupid. You don't get this in the Mega Man community.
>>568286609ガンヴォルト 史上最惡戦犯シャオ>Gunvolt: Xiao, the Worst War Criminal in HistoryWhat's with all the chirping about Xiao recently? Popping off everywhere, here and there. Why is everyone so paranoid about him? Why can't they get over him?

>>568300751That will only increase the number of adept brats and decrease the number of fat minos ojisans to keep them under control with correction.
>>568288732You are replying to a /pol/god you stupid tranny fuck, and if you read the image you'd see Inti themselves saying we're right.

>>568297894There's not much to care about in iX in general, except Isola.
>>568328446And that it proved the theory about female adepts not liking male ones most of the time.
>>568309397Why? Why anybody would try to polish that turd?
>>568328446Nah I think iX is pretty alright
>>568328446There was until IX2 handwaved all the problems away. Dammit Blade, your are almost as bad as Kirin when it comes to killing plot points.
>>568116023Classic Mega Man, and especially Mega Man 1 and 2, have such mediocre level design. Empty rooms and pointless platforming with enemies that just charge at you. MM3, despite all its flaws, actually has great level design that relies on tricky jumps and clever enemy design and placement. Playing this game made me feel less self-conscious about creating my own levels.
>>568333423Yet, it's 2 the one that is lorded as the first proper Mega Man game.
>>568333423Yeah 2 a shit but people will always call it the best game ever.
>>568272984don't
>>568334129I think that it is because it was a huge level design jump for the time.
>>568270735>/intig/not what it says either btw
Speaking of which, you guys are planning to put /mmg/ back in for the next OP, right?
>>568272984Unequip the accessory that gives you the prevasion ability, that shit's baby mode and the game isn't designed for it in mind.
>>568336249I mean, you could bake it. And see how that goes. But I would suggest that you try with /inti/+/mmg/ first.
>>568335994Yeah you got so cucked that you're not even a general anymore are you
>>568336452Says the tranny so cucked he has to post here because of how dead his own thread is.
>>568336452So...how was that eternal page 10 going? Last time you were 2 threads away from falling under. hope that you sort that out before the summer rush when all the gacha generals go wild.
>>568336383cropfag pls
>>568288986>>568289393When Double Peace came out we were at peak ironic weeb "loli? le fbi open up!!!! xDDD" era, that's why it sold so well compared to entries that came before and after it. It was obnoxious as fuck but still a better time because retards didn't treat fiction more seriously than real life yet.
>we're going to shitpost to speed up the threadCan't wait to see the split threads again.
>>568336627>>568336859You lost cope seethe and mald
>>568337290don't need to, you're already doing all that lmao
>>568336383>>568336968So do I do /inti/+/mmg/ or /mmg/+/inti/? I need some input here.
>>568337290And yet here you are begging people to join your pointless and fake general.
>>568337849/intig/+/megaman/
>>568337849do /inti/+/mmg/. Main problem is that the Elpizo cumrag is here looking at a reason to call in his top.
>>568337849If you insist on bringing /mmg/ back in then I'm voting for the former. Though personally I don't think picking either so soon is a wise move.
>>568338050>>568338087>>568338110Okay. How does this sound: /inti/+/mmg/ this time, and then /mmg/+/inti/ next time if the /inti/+/mmg/ thread isn't deleted. Does that work for you >>568338110 ? Not that I'll be the one making the next-next thread, but still.
>>568338110This too, because the sperg is here. Better lay low. The fake general almost died today too so no reason to rush it yet.
>>568338658>Not that I'll be the one making the next-next threadI thought that you were volunteering to be the canary down this mine.
>>568338692You're really acting like we don't hit page 10 too.
>>568338861For 4 hours? On a 7 day long edition?
>>568339135Go easy on him m8. Jesus.
>>568339135For a couple of hours yeah. And we're the "active" general.
>>568338050Her bangs keep getting longer.
Hear hear! New Roro from Cougar. Sorta...
>>568337849Try /inti/+/mmg
>>568342871Alright I guess I'm going with that.
I say don't push your luck with the /mmg/. Mod might decide to just ban all threads with /inti/, /mmg/ or not.
>>568342992>>568343871Yeah. What this anon said. It's better to lay low for a week or two, especially because he might be out for this general on a personal level.
Are we adding the GV3 OCW additions to the MEGA or not? >>568148621Should we put it in the OP of the next thread?
>>568344373Go on. I don't see why not.
>>568344373I'll put it in the OP if you give me the exact text to copy and paste (unless you're planning to make the thread)
>>568344320It'd be a really dumb thing to get a general killed over, especially now that we will have new content to talk about and will be getting biweekly streams. If this were a few months ago, I'd be like whatever, this place is on its last legs, go for it. The more the mod deletes the threads, the more people we lose. We already lost a lot of people in the last round of deletions, and they haven't come back. We're almost to our 1300 edition, let's not fuck it up.>>568344608I'm not baking.
>>568343871>>568344320>Roll over and let shitposters winDo we not remember how the previous version of this general was killed off?

>>568344908Yeah but don't I need to put some text alongside it? I don't really know what it's supposed to be.
>>568344778By allowing Sonic in.
>>568345019Just put in your intro. Say the GV3 portion of the OCW has been scanned. OCW stands for Official Character Works, by the way. You don't need to make it official. It's not going to be a permanent links. It will eventually be added to the MEGA when the anon who manages it gets around to it.
>>568344778They didn't have janny backup, so you could push back. Here, you really can't do shit but kiss their feet and hope for the best.
>>568345283If by intro you meant the Inti section at the top then okay I put it in there. If that's not what you meant then sorry I'm retarded.>>568345537>>568345537>>568345537>>568345537

>>568345681That'll work, but everyone is going to be hesitant to post anything but shitposts in your thread because of the subject line.
