Beside that they introduced Deadly Assault later on, which is a game mode similar to SR where you just try to do as much dmg as possible to 3 different bosses. They also got a tower that now instead of requiring you to just not take dmg actually bases the points you get on how well you fight. They also briefly added a coop mode that changes stuff up quite a bit since you only control a single Agent. Since 2.0 they added a fairly large new area that kept expanding to add exploration gameplay with stuff you gotta find there and such.The actual core gameplay of fighting hasn't changed much other than all Agents can now individually use their ults, which still makes a big difference. They also got rhythm, shooting, surfing mini games and more, some auto chess clone, some VS clone and so on. Nikke comparatively has done almost nothing new.And I don't think the core gameplay needs to change really, you can always add new game modes with the existing core gameplay. It'd be really nice if they added a rogue-like adventure game mode where you pick up characters and upgrades along the way while still doing regular battle stages and that would already be a fresh new experience, but so far SU just doesn't care to.

They would automatically use their skills once off cooldown so you wanted to create a team where you could stack as many debuffs, trigger special debuffs, like Bleeding -> Grazing, Burn -> Scald and order units so the buffs would activate before your Attackers unleashed their skills. It was fun.For character development, Soul Carta was an equip slot that granted unique buffs. There were staples that give 15% ALL DEBUFF EVADE and some give like 85% DEBUFF EVADE (to a Specific Debuff like Poison) which could help with annoying bosses. There were cool ones that boosted the Damage Reflection skill of your units and type Advantage Damage Bonuses. You summoned on a banner for these, and the more copies gave boosted effects and the 5th copy gave a Prismatic effect on the card. There was also Soul Ignition which changed characters skill kits. A skill that Attacked Twice after Ignition would level up and Hit 5 Times or for another they Hit 3 Times but boosted CRIT. It made underutilized characters ridiculously powerful.
