Cyberpunk was great on launch, there was an actual coordinated hate campaign for the game from tranny journo hit pieces to broccoli head "influencers" making glitch compilations and declaring it trash. Although you can't respec except once, so you either have to be willing to do multiple characters or otherwise metagame a bit if it matters enough to you.Game on console is a solid 7.5-8/10 imo. You just can't add Quake/Source pseudo-bunny hopping air dashing as not just a combat tech but a whole universally applicable movement tech and expect less than 95% of people who know it exists and know what it really does to take it. It's an example of MANY things added in 2.0 that are simultaneously REALLY COOL AND GREAT but also style over substance, poorly balanced, objectively less intelligent or varied game design.Like 1.6 is almost entirely function and time constraint above all else. Function at the cost of style or flourish or flash. 2.0 rehauls the armor system (style over substance), the perk system (style, substance, function, but less function than if it were allowed to be less pigeonholed as stylish).Also, Reflexes covers SMGs, Assault Rifles, and fucking KATANAS. That is literally either your speedy bread and butter, your classic bread and butter, or your rule of cool bread and butter. Blades are the best melee option in the game even if you think Mantis or whatever are cooler (and Blades are also cooler, subjectively). This is always a fun gig to fight. It was also the first mission where Immersive Relic Malfunctions was installed, and it activated at 3:50 in the middle of the firefight. While active, it nerfs your health, prevents V from running and sprinting, knocks you down when it comes on, and shows Johnny's left arm over yours. I thought it also disabled cyberware, but after rechecking the mod page that isn't mentioned so V might have been able to continue hacking enemies. Very lucky there was a stack of inhalers remaining at that moment so V was able to stumble to cover. Rigs deform bodies to make them curvier/skinnier/etc. and IIRC work irrespective of body framework, though some are made with certain bodies in mind and so will not look right in some cases on orher bodies.

Perhaps my fragile teenage mind was corrupted by reading too many issues of Import Tuner in the early 00's, but Quadra knows what I'm about and theirs are the only cars I stick to first-person when driving.
