There is a point in hardmode where clearing you get 10 extra coredust per hour when the usual jump is only 1 so for math sakes say you use 100 boxes at 100 per hour. The difference is 11,000 to 10000 and if your pvp opponents didn't do that they will out level you and you will lose gems in pvp and losing gems in pvp means you may not have enough to pull the meta character that is required to do well in solo raid which means you lose out on more gems which in turn means you lose out on more characters. It is an endless loop that can be fixed by paypigging but buying levels just feels like a waste.
