There's enemies you have to kill that just stand on max range somewhere on a mountain shooting you, everything about it is just so infuriating

In the long term you'll want to have all of them at least partially upgraded for the waybound abilities. New players are usually recommended Zenurik for energy, but if you have enough energy then the best waybound to unlock first is Last Gasp from Unairu. Every school except Naramon is reasonably strong sees regular usage, and even Naramon is strong as long as you're a melee player.

IMO Stretch and especially Overextended are odd choices because Valkyr doesn't care much about range, but does care a lot about ability strength. All Primed, all of them being worked on to make them strong, only the Kama are missing a riven.
