It's worth doing not only for the stat bonuses but for the one capstone that completely deletes orange stamina walls from the tower. That being said given how they reduced the grind on global they'll likely make it so you max the left side as easily as the right and given one of the benefits of harder difficulty is the increase in currency if you're just going for metajewels the harder difficulty becomes more redundant
