Donkey Kong Country-esque
I'll ask again because new thread is the whole "f76 is good now" just bullshit? I see that posted on random leddit threads but it feels fake, like some random marketing bitch just chiming in
>>569113906Oh it's a great experience, but a worthless MMO and completely unplayable due to the grind. You can play it once and have a great time. It has the most polished gameplay in the series, an enormous map, it's fantastic. There's no point in sticking around once you're done and for all the people saying "it's good now" are absolutely full of it. 76 is essentially the same game it was back in 2018, there is still no endgame, just more to do before you get there.
>>569113906it's a bad rpg if that's what you're asking
Sex with Vulpes
I drew this because it bothers me that people refer to APA as X-01 and APA MK II as X-02, while also being unaware that APA MK II originated in Fallout 2 and not Fallout 3.
>>569114229yeah it just seems boring, like a vapid mmo.
Hail Unity.
>>569113906It took a while for it to click with me. It's good but it's also flawed. I went into detail a bit more about it last thread, but it's like a middle-of-the-road experience between a good MMO and a good singleplayer game, it's an MMO-lite with survival shooter gameplay. I'd say it's not as good as 1-NV, because those games are genuinely stellar singleplayer experiences. But it's better than 4 in many regards, because I always felt like 4 would function better as a multiplayer game due to how dumbed down the quests are.Essentially, the spin-off status is apt. It's a Fallout game, but also not really what most people want from one unless you're willing to temper your expectations and go in with an open mind.
>>569100921Oslo used to be a town before it was capital of Norway.
>>569113906>no console>real time vats>no modsEw
Why is the Circle of Steel only ever mentioned in one game? Why doesn't the Bethesda Brotherhood have a Circle of Steel?
>>569118046because they're a Van Buren thing and Bethesda didn't know about Van Buren and probably still don't know about Van Buren (at least no consciously).
>>569117968real time vats is actually really good though, it's so needlessly slow in the other games
>>569118223I tried FO76 on a free weekend once and it was horrible
damn, 76 has irradiated chocobos
how bad of an idea is trying to not fight and only using unarmed when i have to in new vegas if I havent played it before
>>569121576It's doable but it's going to start off with a lot of cheese.Unarmed is actually really good but it's a slow startYou're going to be really reliant on sneak and speech but the puzzle is how you're going to level those up quickly when you aren't getting XP from killing people all the time. XP is the real bottleneck in this plan.
>>5691171324 is a better narrative experiencethe story of 76 is too fucked up from all the updates
>>569113906its a decent singleplayer experience but a shitty MMO experience if you want better MMO get ESO. 76 engame is horrible they just have 1 raid while ESO has hundreds. and theyre not adding more anytime soon theyr more focused on retarded map expansions with one and done short stories if we skipped the "new vegas but in ohio" area expansion wed have 3 more raids by now.
>>569124408Dude no one likes the raid either cause they made it the most time consuming thing in the world that has such a low chance of giving you what you wantIt got so bad that they made the raid cache (that they had to promptly remove cause it was bugged and they never brought it back)What they should do is focus on map expansions and do it launch-76 style. Give it a very light story told through holotapes and notes and ultimately just be a fun place to run around in and build camps. That's what people want, not taking a whole year to release one part of a questline where your character is just the Ohio raider's bitch.
>>569122637>getting XP from killing people all the time.>XP is the real bottleneck in this plan.I suggest doing quests for exp
>>569124408The 76 playerbase is too stupid for mechanically interesting raids. If it's not "shoot the guy with 1 million hp to death" it can't be done.
>>569128963Phase 2 being"Don't make a mistake turning a corner into an insta kill guy or you'll waste five minutes of your team's life"and Phase 4"Absolutely braindead easy but still takes forever and hope the enemies don't get stuck" aren't fun. I'll take "shoot the guy" any dayWhenever I had to run fuel I could feel my heart rate spike and my chest hurt a ton. I did not want Fallout 76 of all things to take me out.
>>569129940they nerfed the mole miners.Making them hit hard and a strong DoT, but it won't outright kill you.>phase 4People still have to be warned not to be dumb.
Does anyone just think like 76 "feels" bad? It's like I'm taking crazy pills, I have good Internet and a good PC but the game just has so much latency on every little action. Looting, shooting, moving in the world feels floaty.
How do i attain this physiognomy

New season out yet?
>>569159917nopehttps://status.bethesda.net/en
>>569113906It's a "meh" at best MMO in a FO jacket. Grindy as balls, kept alive by whales. It's a decent time-waster, and can be fun if you've got a group. The RPG aspect is completely gutted and neutered, though. You don't drive the story, you just kinda participate.
it's up
>>569115643That's a good drawing. Also, I never understood that. Is it a Bethesda retcon?
God Bless AmericaGod Bless The Enclave
>>569174561For APA MK II, I just think Bethesda wasn't aware of it being in Fallout 2 at all. Most fans certainly aren't.The X-series naming conventions for Enclave Power Armor is 200% a retcon.Advanced Power Armor being derived from a pre-war Power Armor prototype isn't necessarily a retcon, but it diminishes part of the point of the Enclave being that they never stopped creating and producing new technologies after the war. Fallout 3's Enclave Power armor being weaker than T-51b, and only as strong as T-45d doesn't make sense, given that both 2's APA and APA MKII are vastly superior to T-51b. It's honestly a mess that's all completely at the fault of Bethesda.
Just FYI, don't log into 76 now or you lose your FO1st subscription (assuming you had it) and have to contact customer support with proof of purchase to have it restore. Support is aware of issue and recommend not logging for now until cause of issue is found.
>>569177820>was able to unlock 1st locked rewards from page>don't have 1stI assume it's related. Good old small indie studio still haven't figured out securing accounts it seems.
Rest in peace, Matthew Perry.>>569177820Reset the counter on Fallout 76 fuckups. If more people actually played, this'd be yet another controversy for them.
>>569177820Never log in day 1 of an anything with this small, poor company's involvement.
>>569176301>Fallout 3's Enclave Power armor being weaker than T-51b, and only as strong as T-45d doesn't make sense, given that both 2's APA and APA MKII are vastly superior to T-51b.That's more of a gameplay contrivance to prevent the player from getting OP armor early.>>569178912As much as people here rightfully shit on it, we wouldn't have Benny without Fallout 3.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgexkKCSb8Q

>>569190864Fingers crossed. No problems for me so far on PC but I've been hearing reports of survival tent crashes on PlayStation. The game really is showing its age. Something weird is that my weather station is now hurting my character like in a F4 radstorm. There's no HP loss but you can hear them groaning.
fallout London is free on gog right now
Looks like Bethesda finally pushed too far that the sheeple are cancelling their Fallout 1st subscriptions and now they're gonna have to actually start trying again
>>569186179has any fallout game ever lacked brotherhood stuff?
>>569196017I was waiting a long time for the Brotherhood Field Station to come back, it seemed appropriate for it to be now since all the Enclave stuff is returning too. A few days ago, I put in a Bethesda Support request for the Brotherhood Bundle/Armory. A lot of it was introduced in 2021 during Steel Dawn/Reign and hasn't been brought back in a while.
>>569195510This response was too fast, it's suspicious. It seems to me it's more like>How about instead of giving 50 unique rewards, we give you 5?Then people complain>Ok ok we hear you, how about we bring it up to a smooth 20?"Yay Bethesda listened to us!"It's all part of their plan. That's been the way 76 has been going for a while, slowly lower expectations more and more
>>569196515its cool when a company actually listens.
>>569197480A related phenomenon is called "woman math." Women will buy shit if it's labelled as discounted, believing they're saving money.
