I've always thought people liked starting in maps with Elephants because they're a strong pet that can haul (and be a mount with Giddy Up). Strong enough that a herd of them can run down enemies real fast. I never thought of using them as a literal meat wall, though.Too bad that tactic only works in vanilla because of the whole 'can't hit friendlies with shots' thing if you're too close to each other. With CE, that'd be the first two row of shooters downed shot in the back and all the elephants already dead. If only I could cheese like that with CE, too.

I lost a colonist on a raid and was prepared for the colony wide mood debuff. There was nothing. 1 slave got the "my friend died" thought and that was it. No one even got the my rival died positive one. After 2 years he just had that little social impact in the colony. Possibly the saddest pawn I've ever had.

Is there any alternative mods to Pick Up And Haul that allow pawns to interact with the same stockpile at the same time? I used to use it all the time, but only recently did I find out that if a pawn tries to haul over a certain amount of items of a given stack size at the same time to a construction or crafting job, they ended up putting back the stuff into the stockpile/shelf and then picking it up again over and over, never managing to actually get to the job. Not sure if this is actually a sudden weird incompatibility with other mods like Common Sense or not; only mods I use for 'stack size' otherwise is maybe Adaptive Storage Framework and Neat Storage.Unless I have to do something with RIMMSqol to fix this weird issue.
