I had an incredible revelation while I was playing Fuyuko's WING. Back when the anime aired I had not yet played SC, this is the first time in a long time I've tried to do WING, and I've only consumed mainly SHHis commus from youtube. You know how the anime kept ping ponging around the other units even though the episode was supposed to be about a specific unit and it was weird? Well it finally dawned on me that was actually just the support cards being played, the same way commus for the unit support cards you picked play mid WING. It all finally makes sense, it was all just one long WING play.

Ume's the one who wants to change the status quo, not Saki. It's usually the blue's drama that does it and the Red just sorta helps rally everyone or has a breakdown or something. But there some objective facts that would suggest Ume is a little more like what we've had in the past.Her music is a big one, being composed by Satou. It feels like previous main reds because it's made to sound like traditional idol music by a guy who's been with the series forever.The more obvious thing is that we know for a fact that she was originally intended to be the main red. Whatever it is that they usually have in mind when creating the main red, Ume was conceived similarly, while Saki was not.And I really do think that's a good thing. Saki being unusual was a big part of GK reinventing the series. We may have gone the way of Love Live if Ume had been left as the main red.

Uzuki's arc and re-learning to smile is the climax of the CG anime. Mirai's growth from a girl in the stands to performing on stage is the climax of the ML anime. Literally all three of them have a significant role in the blue drama as well and are usually the ones who help solve it. I genuinely don't know how you can even read otherwise unless you're just really desperately trying to downplay main reds here
