There are some primary problems with VR and getting it to not die:Reasons to put the headset on. I think this is the big one. If something in VR is compelling, you will battle motion sickness, playspace syncing, anything to go do it. What is in VR? Tech demos? The most appealing thing is VRC, as evidenced by people's steamvr hours. Those that play VRC have more steamVR hours. By far. Physical difficulty of putting the headset on. This include: Clearing space, standing up, spinning up your base stations, getting all the hybrid playspace shit to work, battling quest updates, messing around with a cable or wireless problems, uncomfortable headset, battery life... etc etc etc - just anything that makes VR harder to run than a flat game where you just double click a thing and it runs. I think this is the second most important issue. Entry fees. I don't think this is super important since it's something people would pay if the experience was good enough. (I mean hardware costs)
