I'm already not a fan of the dodge being, yet again, the fucking Bloodborne dash and the game being balanced around a Sekiro-esque perfect block system, but the combat itself feels okay, very weighty and deliberate. What annoys me are the randomly sped-up attacks that are there purely for an annoying "gotcha" moment when you're trying to engage with the perfect block system so you're better off just dodging everything. The checkpoint placement also just seems designed to waste your time and force you to fight every single mob on your way back if you fall off a ledge or something.It's in beta so I'm cutting it some slack, and I'm still liking it more than fucking garbage like Lies of P or Lords of the Fallen, but so far it just makes me want to go back and play the first Mortal Shell again.

Mortal Shell 2 beta feedback submitted. I'm glad I stuck with it past the first hour or so, because it ended up being quite fun. The final boss was pretty lame in terms of how you interact with and fight it, but thematically it was cool. I might even buy the game when it drops if it's reasonably priced.
