If you're not at the rev limiter(but are just hitting top speed from the drag factor) their slightly better acceleration over the rest of the straight could've given them a bit of extra speed. HOWEVER, some things aren't mentioned in the data. This is that each diff has slightly different turning styles. In my experience, drift is quite bad once you lose grip whereas with rally it only takes a small tap of the stick to immediately correct it. That said, drift is very friendly if you brake hard, coast through the corner with no accel/brake input, and then start accelerating on exit. I don't know how to describe it other than that it's more stable than rally here for me.Race diff is... I don't know. It's like a bad mix of both, where you have to be careful into the corner and then careful out of it as well. I don't see a reason to ever pick it, which is in line with giron's FH5 (and 6) findings.Notes: The Supra isn't really competitive around ETC. It's a couple of seconds off the pace at best against the Viper or NSX.Conclusion: Testing is really hard. Thorough testing is even harder.Addendum: I put a drift differential on a car (F50) that was sliding everywhere with rally diff and instantly set a 1.1 second pb.
