if you aren't fygoon asking about himself (sort of thing he finds funny) he's a notorious avatar poster from this general (and seen all over the site, posting a bizarre variety of things from his childhood such as the soviet alice in wonderland animation or his fursona) who shat it up for years, constantly tried to pull down other devs, replied to himself 24/7. Most posts were fygoon posts at one point in time. Also ban evaded constantly using some site for kiddy porn, and was suspected of spamming it.

Anyway he left /agdg/ after some stupid drama he instigated, then went and really started the current trend of /v/ gamedev threads (he made the OPs most of the time, sometimes daily) and started trying to moralfag about never coming here. Then he stopped appearing altogether at which point a (seemingly) different dev who posted less starts posting a lot more, that being the goblin game dev. About a week ago someone raised the possibility of that dev being fygoon's latest alterego (he had a habit of talking to himself as different characters long before this). After they said it a lot of goblin dev's behaviour seems uncannily similar to fygoon (avatar posting with his game, samefagging about his game, starting /v/ gamedev threads, strong stance against /agdg/, the way he types). I don't think there's any strong proof yet though. Even if he's isn't fygoon, the goblin dev is still annoying.

just google what you need to do (or ask ai now idk)

once you think you know how to program, switch to the language of the game engine you choose (if godot it's just python but quirky) until you know the syntax, then hop into a game engine and follow a getting started tutorial. Bravo! You've now made a game, and should even understand how it works at a high level! Next think of a really simple game (something arcadey: pong, flappy bird, breakout etc- really simple games) and try to make that using the ideas from getting started. Then just keep on going, come up with a more complex idea and make that, etc. It's a long grind.

progress, mostly working on getting damage persistence/repair handling working across battle -> hangar/mechlab -> back to battle, lots of edge cases shit, but it's mostly good now, probably. the limp animation is a bit funky when played in slowmo in the preview. The mech still has hip movement as if the leg's there since limping is only done on the leg Ik side, but whatever.
Maybe I'll try experimenting with persisting the damage stencils so that shows in the hangar but I can already imagine how ass that would be implementation wise.

Henlo, personally I got started with youtube tutorials. Without them I was aimless with whichever engine I touched. First game was text based and made as I learned from a book on how to code. Personally I recommend Unity (game engine). After that literally just type into youtube stuff like "How to make my character move in Unity" and you should start getting tutorials of guys literally just plopping stuff in and guiding you. One suggestion would be CodeMonkey on youtube

With the modelling and hand painting, this farm cottage took me maybe less than 10 hours. The 2 new knight variants I shat out within an hour. It's so quick and easy now with the base model that I can just alter and paint over. I'll do the same to make a bigger farm house out of this one.

My majethtic wormth now choose a specific type of tile to jump to.

Wow, it took a long friggin time to make that cottage but I can easily slice it and dice it to make larger cottages like this. This will come in handy for the final cut scene of the game that returns to the player character's village. I'll be able to make unique variants so it's not just the same small building being spammed.
