Yes, I'm not hiding the fact that I am utilizing 3D model assets, premade particle effects, and shaders from the Unity Asset Store.

My mentality is speed, and proof of concept. Since people are interested in this game, it seems like an easy decision to continue making it.

And through leveraging AI alongside asset purchases, I should be able to get this game completed in a timely manner.

While you are correct in that I have started and dropped games multiple times in the past, I have done that merely because I did not have any fans.

It seems to me that there is a lot of interest in this game, I'm even getting compared to titles such as Death Stranding which is a huge honor as a solo developer.

Unlike other devs who use AI, I will be leveraging it. I'm a professional with many years of experience building projects such as this one.

Just this year I have started over four projects of similar caliber, with each one being better than the last.

If I pool all of my resources and knowledge into this game, finishing it will be easy.

It’s a slice of life story, as we see Basileus Fygoon terrorize his peaceful and quiet island with his two friends, Alois Ratatosky, the poltroon inventor squirrel, and Balthazar Lux, the gung-ho assassin lynx (these two are your computer-controlled partners, by the way), as they venture through the lands of the Iron Ghetto of the Bulldogs, the BirchWood Forest of the Trollglodytes and the Elvarian Vicereine (also the last of her species), and the Tri-Peak Mountains of the Golems.
Meanwhile, on the distant other end of Frydar Island an evil, dimension-hopping dinosaur warlord is making moves in silence to take over the island, and eventually, the entire planet: Lord Barney. With his army of Crog botnet soldiers, this tyrannosaur will eventually make a pact with all of the characters Basileus Fygoon had wronged and attempt to have the dragon executed for his crimes; Fygoon, however, would elude his captors on his last day and escape into the sea, beginning the second act on Idego Island, the Island of Dreams.

The movement of the characters feels clunky. And i dont know if having a shared time for your team was a good idea. Another problem is the balancing that feels very arbitrary. I ended up adding a modifier value just to restraint the movement, else it is too op. But i feel like the moment you add more of these restraints it shows a fundamental flaw in the system. If i discard this its i think the 5th game or so im discarding in the early stage. I slowly have to accept that im a designlet and that i should just help somebody else with their vision.

Progress Bocchi sisters! Partially made a system for me gaem. Still needs external stuff set up but the code for the intial stuff is done. I hope I get a big win from this game (500 reviews) so I can finally relax for once, take a small break, and collect myself so that I can see where I am screwing up. Marnix just has an incredible work ethic and somehow finishes games fast too with his friends. I just can't. If you tell it exactly what functions and libraries to use along with your goal it will do a lot better and actually be able to do what you want. I've played starsector for several years. But also never in my mind have I even considered demand or monetization when starting this, it was supposed to be a learning project where I take an old game as an inspiration and expand on it with stuff that appeals to me (autistic pixel-based destruction in this case) and it swallowed me for so long because I had too much fun iterating upon it.

Although I initially thought of making a sort of Planetary Annihilation-inspired strategy game after I'm done with this as my first commercial project. It'd be set around tossing destructible celestial bodies at the enemy and intercepting theirs with yours, but the only way I can see myself using the existing asteroid code for it is if I manage to refactor it almost entirely, it has some disgusting flaws as of now.

For art I dont really have much advice I suck at it myself. It's one of those things where you don't need to be an expert to simply tell if something just doesn't look quite good enough. Sorry can't really be much help here. Look at the overall composition of things. Like in the one gif the most noticeable things that stick out negatively is how the larger art ie the asteroids quality pales in comparison to the tiny ship and defensive things on the asteroid itself. There's also the UI, umm for that just refer to other space games and see how they did it maybe you can get an idea there? Ie SpaceSector, S.P.A.Z., umm theres another 2 but I cant remember their names

He was a classic "everyone is so lazy, ive figured out the hack on how to become great at things which is to work on them for 8 hours a day after working my 9-5, and I've spent thousands of hours honing my creative talents and have a great game which I will post VERY SOON but cannot say anything about". These people are normally delusional teenagers. Anyway after getting pressured to post anything he had made he showed off his tank model, then had a little meltie when people noticed it didn't look that great after his 5 thousand hours of 3d art.

The point he's making is obvious. Most people have a bunch of time during the week to improve their skills and get better, it's up to them to use them though. Personally, I have even more time than he mentions since I work from home and don't even work a full 8 hours because of it. Also this post was in regards to people saying there's not enough time in the world. Hence the exaggeration
