EP manages to have an okay story by having a better cast and already having the best part of the story, the Nyarlathotep and Philemon rivalry, already set up, but IS doesn't even have that. Just today because of people saying the P6 trailer has 'P1/2 vibes', which I wouldn't say it does but that's another matter, I saw people saying shit about how P2 was 'mature' and 'dark'. Persona 2 is not some hardcore, deeply mature story, it's very clumsy for that matter. Even with EP and people sucking it off for being 'adult' they never get into why it is supposedly more adult. The themes of EP aren't even far divorced from the coming-of-age stories Persona would have later with Tatsuya's story having focus on that and Ulala's insecurity issues being so transplantable to teenage drama that they literally did transplant it on to Chie. Every single time I see people talk about P2 I feel like I'm the only person who's actually played the games.
