What's the last MH where you have to actually craft weapons and armor constantly? I loved this about FU, but neither world, rise nor wilds really have this. I gave emulating 3U (Wii U port) a spin and to my surprise I'm really enjoying it. Why haven't they ported this shit to PC ages ago? Stupid Nintendo hell...Anyway! I noticed that the base SA, Bone Axe, was insanely powerful without any upgrades -- powerful enough to break 3 parts on Lagiacrus after stuffing my pouch with Mega Potions and Whetstones -- probably owing to the fact that in Tri it wasn't craftable until you received the blueprints for it. Compared to 4U and GU, the Bone Axe they give you is tremendously capable and has good sharpness, so I really dig that.I seriously hope we see PC ports of older games someday because playing GU is simply not something I want to do when games like Tri and 3U have such splendid graphics and art direction. Sure Wilds looks like shit, sure it runs like shit, sure it's way too easy at every level of play, sure the online is dogshit, sure there's no content, sure the story is abysmal on every level, sure there's no reason to pay attention to the maps anymore, sure there's no reason to build armor or weapons for specific monsters anymore, sure all the weapons are homogenized into spamming counter and focus strike, sure offset attacks and 'perfect guard' invalidate everything every monster can ever possibly do to you, sure every update so far has actively made the game even LESS stable and makes the already obscenely powerful weapons significantly stronger, sure they literally increase the already patronizingly generous offset counter windows every patch, sure they have absolutely no clue why people are angry about the game or why they're complaining, but you know what?It doesn't matter, in a year they'll release the expansion and none of these issues will be addressed BUT they'll add recolors of all the monsters that are already in the game AND one event quest near the end of the support cycle will have a 5 minute timer.
