The Super Xeno Kart Chronicles game mode is pretty fun. It's fucking janky at times though since none of these maps were ever meant to be used as race tracks which makes it funny to me.

My most autistic complaint about every Xenoblade game, which also will hold true for Genesis by the looks of it, is that its hard to motivate myself to participate in any of the various side quests and world development activities after clearing the game because every single game in the series destroys the world at the end.Like it doesn't make sense to build up Colony 6 during an initial playthrough because it fucks with story pacing, and it doesnt make sense to do it in the "postgame fuckabout" so to speak because you know the world gets destroyed when you beat Zanza. Similar situations exist in every game in the series. Like helping Colony 9 learn how to farm when they only need to hold out for like a day before Aionios gets wiped from existence.The chances of Genesis NOT destroying its world at the end, especially when its quite possible its some artificial dyson sphere whatever, seems very slim. But there is a massive increase in terms of environmental density, polycount and texture detail compared to 3. You can see things like parallax mapping on ground textures and diffuse and normal maps in areas that are probably 2-4x higher resolution than what was in 3. There are more trees being rendered in certain shots than exist in the entirety of 3's map. Shit like the fences and rock formations you can see in the foreground probably have at least twice the polycount or more. Lots of stuff like that.You're probably just not noticing these details because it's ugly as shit. They've gotta do another pass on these bloom shaders and the dpeth of field and the character shadowing.
